What is produced in one process, is used in the other. Glucose and Oxygen are given off in photosynthesis and taken in during cellular respiration. Water and carbon dioxide are given off during cellular respiration and taken in during photosynthesis. Photosynthesis – uses energy to create food. Cellular respiration – breaks down food in order to produce energy.
