Four things to be mindful of as a follower of Christ as a member of a local church as we commit
to being ON MISSION.
1. See the Command—Biblical—Matthew 28:18-20
2. Obey the Call—Divine—2 Timothy 1:9
3. Face the Challenge—difficult—John 15:18
4. Rest in Christ—possible—Matthew 19:26; Philippians 4:13
As follower of Christ we are called to go; not only around the world, but as well around the
block. And we can know that Christ not only goes with us, He goes before us. So may we go
not to sell Jesus, but to share Him (through His “Good News”—the Gospel, which God uses,
by His sovereign right and immeasurable grace to save.
God saves men and women, boys and girls, Americans, Natchezians, and Haitians. He saves
whoever, wherever, regardless of whatever we have done. And He does it for our eternal
good and greater, for His eternal glory. But as we have been received by Jesus we must go
for Jesus. Jesus Himself speaks strongly to this in relation to salvation.

Acknowledging Christ

“Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him
before My Father in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before
My Father in heaven.
May we not only proclaim Christ in our hearts, but show it to be true as we proclaim Him
through our lips and with our lives.
