The Saskatchewan Understands Math conference will bring together international and local facilitators to work in meaningful ways with participants in a variety of formats. Our keynote speaker is Steve Leinwand. Steve is one of the principal authors of Principles to Actions Ensuring Mathematical Success for All, and has authored numerous other books, textbooks and articles. Currently, Steve is a principal research analyst at AIR and has over 35 years of leadership experience in mathematics education. Steve’s experience spans all sectors of mathematics education from supporting classroom teachers to implementing and overseeing wide scale reforms at the state and national level. In addition, experts from across North America will be presenting featured presentations and concurrent sessions. We look forward to a wide audience of K-12 teachers, coaches, consultants, administrators and division leader from across the province.
