Extra ideas Use this fun activity to teach your class about how to tell the time and how to use time language in everyday life. •Have cards with different times on, both numerical (7:30) and verbally written down (half past seven). Mix the cards up and then get the class to match up the right pairs. •Place numbers 1-12 on the floor to make it look like a clock. Shout out a time and ask he children to use their arms to point to the right time. Why not? Ask the class to think about their school day routine. They should write down activities and times. Ask them to create a range of clocks and colour in the times they take part in the activity. For example, if lunch takes place between 12pm-1pm, the child should shade in this area on a clock face. Top Tip! Get the class to set the clock to their favourite time of the day and explain why they have chosen this time. www.prittworld.com
