Christmas Concert
Children and staff are working very hard to prepare a
programme of songs and readings for our Christmas Concert at
the Brentwood Cathedral on Friday 16 December.
The children have been busy learning and practising the carols
for the Christmas concert. They have all been given a word
sheet to learn the words. The words have been put on FROG
under each year group site and also the school website,
under ‘Resources: Other’. The song backing tracks are also
there, for the children to have fun singing along to, which will
greatly help their learning. We encourage all children to access
these over the weekend and leading up to the concert.
It is expected that all children will take part as every child will
contribute to the concert’s success.
On the day of the concert we are going to walk to the Cathedral
at 9.30 am for the final rehearsal. In the evening, all children
are to arrive at the Cathedral Hall at 6.00 pm.
Children need to wear full school uniform. Coats will not be
needed and should be left with the parents. The concert will
last approximately one hour. There will be a retiring collection
at the end of the concert in aid of the Brentwood Catholic
Children’s Society.
The concert promises to be a beautiful evening. We are looking
forward to sharing the joy, love and peace of Christ’s birth with
you at this wonderful occasion.
DVD & Audio CD
The concert will be recorded and, as in previous years, the DVD
(£7) and the audio CD (£5) will be available to purchase. Orders
can be placed from Monday 12th December. It is advised that
orders are placed before the concert on Friday. Orders will still
be accepted after this date, but we cannot guarantee we can
provide the DVD before the end of term.

wonderful event for the children. The Parents’ Association
have worked very hard to make the day a success.

Christmas Lunch and Film
On Wednesday children and staff are going to enjoy a
traditional Christmas lunch.
In the afternoon we will watch a film, which has got a PG
rating. Many members of staff have watched it and see it as
suitable for the children. The title of the film is usually kept
as a surprise. If anybody would like to get any more
information regarding the film please contact the office.
St Helen’s Got Talent
This week St Helen’s Got Talent auditions will be for 5C,
Thursday lunchtime in the library. Children must bring
anything they may need for the audition.
If children are in another club, they may audition first and
then leave to attend their regular club.
