Homecoming 2014
The week of Homecoming was full of activities and dress-up
days such as Decade Day, Around the World Day, Holiday
Day, Senior Citizen Day and Wacky Spirit Day. Other
activities included a Powder Puff football game, chili
cook-off, a skate night and much more. The parade
and pep rally was attended by the entire school on a
beautiful Friday afternoon.
The week concluded with the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and a Mustang victory of 45-36 over
Dallas Bishop Lynch and a win for our Volleyball team
over Arlington Pantego! What a great way to celebrate
our Homecoming!
This year’s Homecoming Court consisted of Queen
nominees Ashley Brown, Catherine Hammond and Rylee
Hill. The Princesses were: Junior Viki Amend, Sophomore
Anna Flatt and Freshman Lauren Hughes. The King nominees
were Justin Fender, Luke Fender and Caleb Warren. Seniors Ashley
Brown and Caleb Warren were named Homecoming Queen and
King. Congratulations to all of these wonderful young people!!

MAGAZINE SALE ANOTHER GREAT SUCCESS!
The students of Midland Christian School
have once again shown their loyalty and support by selling over $200,000.00 in our annual Magazine Sale. Midland Christian is one
of the top selling schools in the nation!! MCS
will receive 50% of these funds which will go
directly to student activities. Many of our
students worked hard to make this fundraiser
a huge success.

We appreciate all the students and teachers
that participated in the sale for their wonderful spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
Once again, Bonnie Miller did a great job
coordinating the sale. We owe a great deal of
gratitude to the group of parents that helped
each day in the office and in the classrooms.
Without their help we could not accomplish
all that has to be done in order for this sale to
be successful. Mr. Eddie Lee was amazing
again this year as he encouraged the students
in the daily Magazine Rally and rewarded
them by playing the “Duck” game. Each day
during the rally, the students that have a full
sticker card get to pull a marble for monetary
rewards of $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100, but
more importantly to win the grand prize. We
haven’t given that prize away in many years,
but this year Brayden Richardson was lucky
enough to pull the red marble which is the Grand
Prize marble. Brayden won $1,200.00!!! Way to
go Brayden!!
A growing list of subscribers, who repeatedly
respond when our students call upon them, can
be credited with the success of this sale. Midland
Christian extends heartfelt appreciation to everyone who orders or renews their magazine subscriptions through our young people.
Many student activities will benefit from the
profits received from this sale. A big THANK
YOU goes to everyone that helped make this sale
a tremendous success!!
Benefit Auction & Dinner
Friday, February 20, 2015 • McGraw Event Center
That is the date for the 29th annual Benefit Auction and Dinner. Plans are underway
for a great night of fun, food and fellowship. Not to mention the best shopping in the
Permian Basin! A committee of ladies is working hard to make sure this is the best
auction yet!! We already have some fabulous items, including a
2014 HARLEY DAVIDSON SOFTAIL SLIM, WONDERFUL TRIPS
and much, much more!!
Make plans now to attend. You won’t be disappointed! There will be
items in every price range. There will be great door prizes –
including ½ year tuition for one child!!!

purchased in the office starting in January.
