RULES AND REGULATIONS
NOTICE!
Entries in this Department will be restricted to residents of the six counties
comprising the Piedmont Interstate Fair – Spartanburg, Cherokee, Laurens, Union,
Polk and Rutherford.
1. Entries in this division will be received on Saturday, October 8th from 10 a.m. to
6 p.m., and Sunday, October 9th, from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER 5 p.m.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9th
2. Entries can be picked up between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on
Monday, October 17th. Due to limited secure space and personnel, the fair cannot be responsible for entries not picked up by 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
3. Articles in competition must have been completed since the 2015
Piedmont Interstate Fair. Previously entered items may be placed
for display ONLY if space permits but will not be considered for
competition.
4. Only clean, finished articles may be entered.
5. No premium will be allowed for articles entered which have been purchased,
received as a gift, or borrowed, or for articles which have been previously entered at this Fair.
6. Should an award be obtained by false evidence, misrepresentation, or a violation of any rule, the premium will not be paid.
7. Only one entry may be made under a lot number.
8. When there is no competition in a lot number, judges may choose to tie first
ribbon for merit only and pay no premium.
9. 1st Place premiums only will be paid. All other places will be honored with a
ribbon.
10. Any article not worthy of judging will be disqualified.
11. All exhibitors 12 years of age and under enter Junior Class. All exhibitors 13-17
years of age enter Youth Class.
12. The Fair Association will exercise utmost care for the protection of all exhibits,
but will not be responsible for loss or damage to exhibits or property of exhibitors.
