IxD Week 3: Prototyping Intro - Storyboarding Design Ideas
TRANSPORTATION STORYBOARDS
I gleaned specific design ideas to storyboard from the interview that I performed last week.
Below are storyboards that outline some of the needs that my interviewee had expressed.
DESIGN 1
The user needs to drive but wants a good driving experience when he/she does so that is void
of traffic, is a good route, etc. Storyboard 1 depicts a user who wants to know when would be
the best time to leave for his/her destination given current traffic conditions. Storyboard 2
depicts a user who wants to travel to his/her destination using a new, scenic route.

The user needs to take the bus but are frustrated by the schedule and timing of buses. Instead
of having buses be on a strict schedule, the users can find out real time updated information
about where a bus is and when it will arrive. Storyboard 1 depicts a user who wants to know
when to leave for the bus. Storyboard 2 depicts a user who wants to know when the bus will
arrive.
