Sign for rest area…San Pedro
(comes up about the 136
kilometer marker). It has a
restaurant, gas station, restrooms,
souvenirs and snacks.
We left Saltillo around 7:30 am
and got to San Pedro at
approximately 9:15 a.m.

go to the bathroom. (about 20
cents)

Matehuala.

We arrived on the outskirts of
Matehuala at 10:16 a.m.…so it’s
about three hours from Saltillo
and is a good stopover for the
night.

Las Palmas is very popular with
our alumni…it has secure parking
and a nice restaurant.
We’ve also heard from alumni
who like Del Parque, but I don’t
have any additional information.
Bill and I have never stayed in
Matehuala, so we don’t have
directions to either of the hotels,
but we understand they’re not
hard to find.
