purporting to give a complete list of
receip ts and expenditures . during the
last campaign. If ftiis report Is to-be
believed more , hnji fifty per cent, of
^
all monies received
by the Suffolk
County Democratic committee came as
b> contri bution from the Now' York
County Democratic Committee which is
Tammany Hall , as everybody knows.
• Another , lar ge part of the'Suffolk
County campaign , fund , as reported ,
came from the Kings ' County Democratic committee which also is Tamman y Hall to all intents and purposes.
Thus ot the less than $1,800 receipts
reported by the Suffolk Democrat s,
$l'j>0O was from Tammany,
But who paid for the thousands of
letters mailed In behalf of Uie Democratic ticket in Suffolk this fall ? The
registered voters In this county were
in excess of 40,000 and a single moiling
would cost $800 for postage alone, to
say nothin g of the tost of printing, of
envelopes, and of addressing. Are we
expected - to believe that Cha irman
Rasquln 's Item of $50 for postage and
stat ionery covered that? He was known
to have the support of Governor Roosevelt but who suspected that he had
such a "dra g" with Tj ncie Sam?
Following Is a transcript of the sworn
statement ' of the receipts ' . and - expenditures , of the Democratic county committee during ' tbe campaign ' recenti y
closed , but we hear that some contributors are sore-tpecause the y received
no cred it for their generosity to the
"glorious 1' Cause :
