economic sheet metal production
Reach the highest economy, flexibility and precision in
producing rectangular straight ducts by using the outstanding Forstner duct line KS. You will improve your
production process with the KS, which can also be
completly integrated in your company’s network.
The duct line KS includes:
– up to maximum of six decoilers AG b2mf
The non-powered drop-in decoilers AG b2mf are
movable, not expensive and very solidly built.
– powered coil selector MT-6
The coil selector guarantees the fully automatic
change-over from one coil to another.
– straightener RM-6 110-HOV
Six 4,33 inch (110mm) shafts are used for eliminating the coil-set. The upper shafts are adjusted
manually resulting in flat sheets for the next process.
Powered shaft adjustment is also available.
– profiling machine PM z
The reinforcing of the ducts is made with a rollformer
and Z-profiling tools. Manual or powered adjustment
of the shaft helps reducing waste. You can also
produce single duct sides without profiling.
– guillotine and folding machine TSBM
The TSBM is well known for its fast, burrless cuts and
precise folding without any twist. The ducts can be
seamed by any of the known lockformers.
– control SPS-F1 with touch panel
The control makes the operation a pleasure. The
advanced control SPS-F1 is outstanding not only for
reliability, flexibility and precision but especially for
ease of operation and unbeatable results. Up to 99
different programs can be stored, each prescribing
the coil number, the shape (_, L, U, #), type of seam,
dimensions in inches (mm), reinforcing yes/no,
slitting yes/no and number of ducts.
Look and see the advantages:
– Simple loading of a new coil by using the
drop in mandrels on a movable frame. Pull them
out of the line for loading by overhead crane or
fork-lift on rails.
– Fully automatic change-over from one
coil to another by the help of the powered coilselector can be done by one operator in a few
seconds.
– Perfect straightening results can be
guaranteed with the RM-6 straightener, even if
the adjustment of the upper shafts is a manual
process. You won´t notice coil-set any more.
– Equal and streamlined reinforcing of the
ducts in a rollformer with one pair of supporting
shafts with hardened and ground tools.
– Burrless cut and precise folding with an
absolutely rigid and stable hydraulically
operated guillotine shear and folding machine.
Options and additions:
Additional mandrels or further decoilers, slitter,
punching unit, notching unit, integrated snap-lock
rollformer, connecting link to a CAD-CAM system
like RS485 and much more are available.

special lengths and short runs
The duct line KS-L has been designed especially for
waste optimized production of rectangular ducts in
non-standard lengths and short runs. The ease of operation with outstanding process optimization is satisfactory for all customers.
After the pre-described KS-4 2000 the L-section of the KS-L 2000/3000 is assembled:
– conveyor BA-YX
The flat sheet is taken away by a vaccuum handlingdevice and the conveyor transports the sheet forward before a vertical belt moves it into the 120
inches (3000mm) wide section of the KS-L.
– profiling machine PM z
The same design with supported shafts and hardened
and grounded tools with a beading distance of 6,30
inches (160mm) guarantees equal results for long
ducts. For activating the PM on all or only on particular sides of the duct you will get a powered shaft
adjustment.

– economic production of 80 inches
(2000mm) long ducts in the straight line
– optimal waste management production
of special ducts up to max. 120 inches
(3000mm) length in the KS-L
– quick switchover from standard to

Between the PM and the TSBM another conveyor
with positioning fingers is assembled to guarantee
perfect alignment of the long ducts.
– guillotine shear + folding machine TSBM
The TSBM can also fold short ducts very accurately
and with absolutely no twist. Cutting and folding
quality is guaranteed.
– control SPS-F1 with touch panel
There is one central control unit for programming
sheets or ducts for the whole line. The latest software
with all the help symbols makes the operation of the
line a pleasure. The logic control and its software
are unique. You will not get more features from any
other control.
