Cruisin’ Southern Maryland for Veterans 2016 Sponsorship Details Participating Car Clubs: Southern Maryland car clubs participating to date include: Southern Knights, St. Mary’s Rod and Classics, Quarter Masters, Night Thunder Cruisers, East Coast Drifters, American Truck Historical Society, Model-A Club, Tri-County Cruisers, and the Southern Maryland Mustang Club. We are again anticipating over 150 cars participating in the event. Presenting Sponsor: We are offering the opportunity, on a first come first served basis, for up to three (3) Presenting Sponsors for this year’s event. The cost to become one of the event’s Presenting Sponsors is $1,000.00. This includes the sponsor’s name and logo on the back of the t-shirts, event flyers, banners, website, etc. listed as the Presenting Sponsor, the opportunity to provide materials for the participant goodie bags, and event registration for one vehicle. Special recognition during the event through P.A. announcements and four free event t-shirts will be provided. The Presenting Sponsor sign up and logo submittal deadline is March 18, 2016. Major Sponsors: The cost for a Major Sponsorship is $300.00 and is limited to the first 32 Major Sponsors that sign up. This sponsorship includes the sponsor’s name and or logo on the back of the t-shirts, name and or logo on the event flyers, banners, website, and the opportunity to provide materials for the participant goodie bags, and event registration for one vehicle. Sponsor recognition during the event through P.A. announcements and two free event t-shirts will be provided. The Major Sponsor sign up and logo submittal deadline is March 18, 2016. Associate Sponsors: The cost for an Associate Sponsorship is $125.00. This includes the sponsor’s name on day of the event handouts. The opportunity to provide materials for the participant goodie bags, event registration for one vehicle, and one free event t-shirt will be provided. The Associate Sponsor sign up deadline is May 15, 2015. Cruise Date: The cruise will take place on Saturday May 28th, with rain dates on Sunday May 29th and/or Monday May 30th. Participant Cost: $30.00 per vehicle T-Shirts: The first 150 participants will be given a t-shirt designed specifically for this event. T-shirts will feature the Presenting Sponsor and all Major Sponsors on the back of the shirt and event info and logo on the front. Goodie Bags: Goodie bags will be provided for the first 150 participants that includes handouts from our sponsors. Poker Run: An optional Poker Run will be available to participants for an additional $10.00 charge, with half the proceeds being paid to the top 4 poker hands and the balance going to the Veterans Home. Cruise Details: The cruise route is right at 100 miles long, and is open to all makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Each of the cruise stops will become an impromptu car show, as we plan to be at each location for approximately one and one-half hours. We will have a P.A. system set up at each stop with music and announcements played. A group of Veterans will select the Veteran’s Choice Awards at the final stop at the Veterans Home. Route: This year’s cruise will again travel through St. Mary’s, Charles, and Calvert counties. The Cruise will start in Charlotte Hall at the Charlotte Hall Center parking lot behind Burger King. From Charlotte Hall we will head North on Route 5 to Billingsley Road, then down St. Charles Parkway/Rosewick Road to Washington Avenue in La Plata. Our first stop will be at the Target Shopping Center in La Plata. From there we will take Route 301 South to Route 234, and head South to Route 5 in Leonardtown. Our second stop is planned for the Square in downtown Leonardtown. This will be our lunch stop. We will then take Route 5 South to Route 4 and cross the Solomon’s bridge and head to Prince Frederick, where we will take Route 231 West to Hughesville. We will then take Route 5 South to our final stop at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Each stop will have a scheduled departure time which will allow participants to leisurely get to the next stop and have time to display their car at each stop.
