With his ship wrecked and his trusty computer JCN on the fritz, brave explorer Gulliver
finds himself lost in space with nothing but an Invisible Force to guide him! While transporting from world to world, under the control of the Maniacal Scientist of Lapunta, Gulliver discovers fighting aliens, arrogant Horse Leaders of the foolish Yahoos, larger-than-life
royalty (in more ways than one) and robots – all who need just as much help from Gulliver
as Gulliver needs from them! Tune in as this sci-fi spin of the timeless tale of GULLIVER’S
TRAVELS will take you out-of-this world!
Throughout its 45 year existence, the Missoula Children’s Theatre International Tour has
fostered developmental life skills in more than a million kids. Just this year, we will work
with 65,000 children in more than 1,200 communities in all 50 states and 17 countries. The
Missoula Children’s Theatre relies on your generosity to close the gap between low tour
fees and the actual cost of touring. If our program has had a positive impact on you or a
family member, and you would like to help ensure this experience for future generations,
please contact Development Director, Cate Sundeen at [email protected].

A B O U T T H E M I S S O U L A C H I L D R E N ’ S T H E AT R E
The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT), the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been
touring extensively for more than 40 years now from Montana to Japan, and will visit nearly
1,200 communities this year with up to 44 teams of Tour Actor/Directors. A tour team arrives
in a given town with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put
on a play...except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts 50-60 local students
to perform in the production. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and two public
performances are presented on Saturday. All
MCT shows are original adaptations of classic
children’s stories and fairytales . . . a twist on the classic stories that you know and love. Also
included in the residency are three enrichment workshops presented by the Tour Actor/
Directors. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem
are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational
project. MCT’s mission is the development of lifeskills in children through participation in the
performing arts.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre is based in Missoula, Montana, and also runs many local
programs. These include musical theatre day camps and performing arts classes for local
children, a summer residency Performing Arts Camp for students from around the world
and the Missoula Community Theatre, which creates an arena for local talent of all ages to
participate in large-scale productions and attracts audiences from western Montana. For
students interested in a career in the performing arts, MCT has developed Next Step Prep—
The Academy for Musical Theatre—providing high school students an affordable opportunity
to train and study with well-known professionals in the field of music, dance and acting to
prepare for college.
Federal employees can contribute through the Combined Federal Campaign using
CFC code #20396.

CULTURAL AFFAIRS PRESENTS
THE DRIFTERS
Through an historical journey, which included no less than 5 legendary lead
singers, including Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King,
The Drifters ongoing story has covered the entire spectrum of Rock & Roll.
They were the first musical group to include string instruments into Rhythm &
Blues music with their hauntingly beautiful song, “There Goes My Baby”. They
were also the first musical group to sell 2 million records with their pop classic,
“Up On The Roof”. Along with fellow inductees the Rolling Stones, the Beatles,
Bob Dylan and the Supremes, the Drifters were in the first class of Rock & Roll
legends to be initiated into the Hall of Fame. Their classic tune “Under The
Boardwalk” is the most played R & B record of all time.

THE DRIF TERS
The Drifters…one of Rock & Roll’s founding vocal groups is once again touring the U.S.
under the auspices of their original management team.
From their inception in the early 1950’s and up until recently The Drifters has a symbiotic
relationship with Rock & Roll legend George Treadwell, who’s discovered and managed
such famous artists as Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn and Nina Simone. The Treadwell Family was there when the original Drifters formed and was responsible for guiding
their career through 20 years of uninterrupted hits that has made them the second most
successful recording artist of all time, according to Billboard Magazine.
Their songs have been penned by such historic songwriters as Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller,
Carol King, Jerry Goffen, and Phil Spector. They have played at the White House on 3 different occasions, gave a benefit concert in Berlin the day the wall fell, performed for the Pope,
the Queen of England, Nelson Mandella, and toured the world for the USO in 3 different
war zones from Korea to Iraq. Behind it all was George Treadwell and his family, guiding
the career of this historic group.
Once again the Treadwell family will be coming out of retirement to put together an
historic reunion at US facilities as THE DRIFTERS return to their roots with their latest
American tour. It’s been a while since the group toured the country but they are gearing
up for a monumental celebration of their 50 year catalogue of great titles.
