4 . Pursuant to the provisions of Part VM. of the Water
Act 1915 as amended by any Act the Governor in Council
may advance as a loan to each local governing body named
in the Third Part of the Schedule to this Act any sum or
sums not exceeding the amount set forth in such Part
opposite to the name of such local governing body.

8 . The Treasurer of Victoria is hereby authorized to Power to
issue and apply any sums of money set out in the Schedule tSV01" oan
to this Act not exceeding in the whole One million seven
hundred and forty-one thousand pounds out of any loan
authorized by Parliament and appropriated by Parliament
for irrigation works and water supply works and for
drainage and Hood protection works in country districts
and for works under the River Murray Waters Acts.

9 . The works specified in the Fourth Part of the Schedule work* declared
to this Act other than those which have by some Act of works a e
Parliament' passed before the commencement of this Act
been declared to be National or State works of water
supply or are described in the Third Schedule to the Water
Act 1905 as State works of water supply are hereby Thn5°soWuit,
declared to he State works of water supply within the
meaning of thrj Water Acts; and the State Rivers and
Water Supply Commission is hereby authorized and directed
to construct and carry out all works specified in the Fourth Foutthand
.and Fifth Parts of the Schedule to this Act.

Limitation of
expenditure
from loans for
water supply
1 0 , Notwithstanding anything contained in any Water
Supply Loans Application Act in force before the commencement of this Act (other than the Act No. 1943) no
money shall l>v virtue of any such Water Supply Loans
Application Act be expended out ot any Loan Funds for
loans to waterworks trusts local governing bodies or
municipalities or Irrigation Trust or for or towards any
waterworks or for drainage or flood protection works or
for works under the River Murray Waters Acts other
than such as are specified respectively in the Schedule
to this Act and to the extent mentioned therein.
