Cubing Handouts

Proofreading and Editing Cube

add three adjectives to
your sentences or story.
Place a box around at
least two examples of
voice in your writing.
Choose a sentence that is

sentences that could be
combined to create more

the new sentences.

find replacements
for these words that
improve your writing.
Read your work from
end to beginning, one
sentence at a time.
Underline two sentences
that can be made stronger.
Now improve them!
Place squares around
all of the pronouns
(e.g., he, she, it, they).
