Pilot whales are in the dolphin family.
Dolphins or pilot whales are fresh water
creatures. Dolphins communicate
underwater. Also, dolphins love to eat fish
and squid. They are mostly common in
shows and aquariums. This is to keep them
safe from sharks and killer whales. The
dolphin’s tail goes up and down while fish’s
tails go side to side. Dolphins are one of
the only mammals in the ocean. Dolphins
can live up to 30 whole years! They travel
in groups called pods, with hundreds of
other dolphins. Sometimes a dolphin can
look like a shark. Dolphins have a type of
grief when one of the pod members dies.
Some dolphins can be 12-20 feet long. Dolphins have short teeth that aren’t that
long. They are in the middle of the food chain. Dolphins are very playful,
therefore they bond with animals while swimming. Dolphins also Dolphins can’t
stay under water forever. They have a blowhole like whales they use it to breath.
These creatures are intelligent creatures. They have bigger brains then humans
too! They circle around their food in a pod and start chomping away. Dolphins
get easily scared , so don’t frighten them to much they with slam into you like
nobody’s business.
