Year 4 Fundraising.
As part of Bang the Drum project for the Year 4 children we need to raise some funds for Street Child
United. The children are going to have some cross class
football tournaments and we thought that it would be good
to have an adult sponsored football match. We are looking for
a Year 4 parent team versus a staff team! We are looking to
do this event in the New Year. If you are interested in taking
part, it would be an after school event, there will be refreshments. If you think that you have the talent and skills to take
on ‘Mr Taylors Tornados‘, and your child is in Year4 , then please tell your child’s class teacher. Please
also let them know which evening is best for your.
The children in year4 have been learning about poems this week. An acrostic poem is a type
of poetry where the first, last or other letters in a line spell out a particular word or phrase. The most
common and simple form of an acrostic poem is where the first letters of each line spell out the word or
phrase. Miray and Denisa handed me about Mission Grove this morning.

Thank you to Miss Dun n and Waxwing class for a fantastic assembly on nocturnal animals. The children
have only been back a week but they shared artwork, poems, songs and acted a night time scene. They
have already learnt so much about different animals it was amazing to see. Thank you to all the parents
who came along to watch.
School Nurse
The School Nurse, Judy Flannagin, will be visiting the North Site on Tuesday 17th January.
She will be on the site between 9.15am and 11.00am. Please feel free to pop along and see
her if you have any medical concerns for yourself or for your child.
Miss Laing
You may have noticed that Miss Laing has not been at school for the last week. She has had a minor
operation that went well and she is having a few days to recuperate. Whilst she is away Miss Pulina will
be teaching the class with Miss Seda.
