Attendance – 70%
This course is one where you will have to attend to get the full effect. It is basically a
survey of the choral repertoire from the mid -15th century through contemporary
music. This class is awesome; why would you want to miss?! There will be ZERO
unexcused absences permitted. Each one will result in the loss of a letter grade.
Binders submitted-20%
You are to collect and catalogue EVERY piece of music handed out to the class. You
must divide it according to the different classifications listed on the weekly activities
of the syllabus.
Four Years Worth of UIL Programs – 10%
Please submit FOUR years worth of UIL Programs. At a four-year high school, you
are only allowed to repeat pieces every four years, so we need four years of programming. I
want you to put together DIVERSE programs that incorporate all five of the time periods and
the divisions of the classifications. Try to avoid ALL sacred or ALL secular programs.
