These stations are convenient and practical for public use. They are also instrumental in engraining a clean-community mentality in residents and visitors to our green spaces and pathways. Sponsorship runs from June 1 to May 31, the following year. Sponsor logos will be placed on a sticker, over the blown-out image to the above right. The sticker size will be up to a maximum of 3” high X 4” long. We are excited to have the support of local businesses and residents, to provide these station to the community that help keep our public spaces cleaner and safer. Invoicing & Payment Your organization will be invoiced within 15 business days of submitting your Sponsorship Application (Page 6). Payment by credit card, cheque, cash or debit is accepted. The sponsor sticker will be placed once payment has been received by McKenzie Towne Council. Representation The agreement between McKenzie Towne Council (MTC) and the sponsor is not extended to parent and subsidiary companies or organizations. The event will be held on High St. on Thursday, July 14th, 2016. The event will host between 3,000 – 5,000 people. This event is near and dear to many residents of McKenzie Towne and neighboring communities. It has rivaled some of the largest breakfasts in the city and always draws a large crowd from across southeast Calgary and beyond. Choose your level of involvement: Activity Package $1,000 (first come, first served) Signage at event, poster and online promotion, t-shirt placement, activity. Sponsors are required to provide the necessary amount of volunteers needed for each activity. By choosing to sponsor a McKenzie Towne Council event, you will increase your exposure to residents and surrounding communities. According to the 2014 City of Calgary Census, McKenzie Towne boasts approximately 17,059 residents in 7,005 homes. And, the communities of McKenzie Lake, New Brighton, Copperfield, Cranston, Auburn Bay, Mahogany, Douglasdale and Riverbend are a stones-throw away. Many residents bring their friends and family from other communities to our events. Sponsoring our events is a cost-effective and community-oriented way to show where your values lie. We engage all demographics (families, youth, and adults) within the community and surrounding southeast communities by producing a diverse set of events throughout the year. They range in average attendance of 90 to 800 people. Payment by credit card, cheque, car debit is accepted. The invoice will be due and payable before the first event that you have chosen to sponsor. McKenzie Towne Council will only allow representation from the business who has applied and paid for their rights to participate in MTC events. SWAG SWAG is allowed at our events. It must be approved by the Events Planner or Communications & Recreation Coordinator at least two weeks prior to the event. The rights to distribute any product are given on a first come, first served basis. If unapproved SWAG is brought to an event, you may be asked to remove it from the premises if it conflicts with another sponsors approved SWAG. Logo display Event sponsors will see will see their company logo placed on our lobby TV, in event web-posts on our website, as well as a one month feature on the “Event Sponsors” ad rotator on the front page of www.mtcouncil.com, with a hyperlink to your website, prior to the event. Sponsoring all 13 of our events affords you permanent logo placement on the ad rotator, from June 1 to May 31. Event participation We highly encourage all sponsors to have volunteers at our events in order to receive maximum return on investment and exposure. Involvement at events is also on a first come, first served basis. We include many activities at our events for the benefit of both attendees and sponsors. Should you deicide to sponsor the following events, we require a minimum of two staff from your organization to be present: Music in the Park, Luau at the Common, Spooktacular, Kid’s Christmas Party and Winter Wonderland Family Skate. Communication Event day details will be communicated by our Event Planner. Because we produce 13 events each year and plan well in advance, our communication may come sooner than expected. Ensure that a contact person is designated who will be able to coordinate event details with us in a timely fashion. Event sponsor exclusivity policy for residents of McKenzie Towne McKenzie Towne Council’s mandate is to serve the needs of McKenzie Towne residents . 1) If by May 1 of the fiscal year, a *“Resident Event Sponsor” has paid to sponsor all calendared events for the upcoming event schedule, sponsorship will not be accepted from a person and/or a business who resides/ operates outside of the community, in the same or substantially similar industry as a resident event sponsor. 2) If by May 2, of the fiscal year, #1 has not been met, then there is no exclusivity if a resident Event Sponsor in the same or substantially similar industry is interested in our Sponsorship program. If a business who resides/operates outside of the community requests to be accepted into our sponsorship program, such sponsors will be accepted. Once a person and/or a business who resides/operates outside of the community has been accepted into our sponsorship program, if they decide to return the following year, they will be accepted and any same or substantially similar industry within McKenzie Towne will be accepted but not granted exclusivity. Sponsorship can be terminated by McKenzie Towne Council at any time without reason. Any unused sponsorship will be refunded. *A person or entity whom owns or manages an encumbered property in McKenzie Towne and pays fees to McKenzie Towne Council, and is a “member in good Date: standing”.
