Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a motorist assist in the 21000 Block of U.S. 77
Highway. The driver had pulled over to rest and did not need any
assistance.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Gasino just across the Oklahoma
border to take a battery report that had occurred in Cowley County.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 600 Block of East 13th Street for
a report of a lost or stolen Kansas license plate.

Sheriff’s Deputies called for E.M.S. at 13th Street and Main Street for a
report of a juvenile that had fallen from a bicycle.

Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a stolen license plate in the 200 Block of East
5th Street. Vehicle was towed by a local wrecker service.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jason Duaine Finey, M, W, 35, Arkansas City on
an arrest and detain for probation violation in the 200 Block of East 5th
Street. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail on
that arrest and detain. He remains in custody as of the time of this
release.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 Block of 252nd Road for a
report of an aggravated burglary. The victim arrived home and thought
she heard a noise and then a subject fled the residence through the front
door. The victim advised the suspect got into a white passenger car with
several other subjects in it. The victim advised there was nothing missing
or damaged.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 31000 Block of 55th Lane for a
welfare check regarding three adults and two juveniles in a vehicle in the
caller’s driveway. The vehicle occupants told the caller they had been
kicked out and had nowhere to go. The area was checked and the vehicle
and occupants were not located.

Sheriff’s Deputies checked a vehicle in the 23000 Block of Avery Avenue.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of 121st Road and 132nd
Road to check a vehicle driving with its hazards on and a male subject in
back shining a bright light. The vehicle was last seen northbound. The
vehicle was not located in that area.

an earlier call on 252nd Road.

Sheriff’s Deputies transported a prisoner for the Arkansas City Police
Department to the Cowley County Jail.

Sheriff’s Deputies and Winfield Police Department Officers arrested
Lakisha Marie Kemp, F, B, 24, Winfield after a short foot pursuit and taser
deployment in the 2000 Block of Fuller Street on two Cowley County
District Court case numbers, 16CR737W for failure to appear and
14CR836W for probation violation. She was also charged with
interference with a law enforcement officer. The taser did not work as
only one probe hit the suspect. Medical attention was refused by the
arrestee. She was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail
on that warrant. She remains in custody as of the time of this release.

Sheriff’s Deputies checked a pedestrian in the area of 6th Street and
Andrews Street.

Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle in the area of Chestnut Street and
Summit Street for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, the
driver, Edwin Lee Marshall II, M, W, 42, Winfield was arrested for
possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug use
paraphernalia. He was also arrested on two Cowley County District Court
case numbers, CL03D00015A and CL06RC00007A, both for failure to
appear. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail on
those charges and warrants. He remains in custody as of the time of this
release.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jessica Maria Howell, F, W, 27, Arkansas City
and Jacob Allen McCormick, M, W, 24, Arkansas City on out of state
warrants, CF16-1020 and CF16-1021 respectively from Kay County
Oklahoma District Court. They were transported to and booked into the
Cowley County Jail on those warrants. They both remain in custody and
awaiting extradition as of the time of this release.

report of a subject that was intoxicated.
