It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 9th World Ballet
Competition (WBC) held in Orlando, Florida, USA! The World Ballet
Competition is the premier international dance competition that each
year draws hundreds of tourists to Orlando, Florida, USA for a seven
day series of events. Garnering an impressive reputation by attracting
the highest level of talent that exists, WBC has established Orlando
as an international destination for dance. The WBC concludes with
its All Stars of Dance offering a rare opportunity to view outstanding
international dance stars, of a caliber only seen in the area through our
event.
Among unique dance education opportunities and worldwide exposure
through our internet broadcast, we are proud to each year offer cash
prizes, scholarships, job offers, and dance apparel totaling over $150,000.
The WBC was created to revive interest in the arts (dance in particular)
and upholds the highest standards in fairness and innovation. As such,
the WBC has become known as one of the most popular and fairest
competitions worldwide.

Judges
Debra Austin - USA
Carolina Ballet/Ballet Master
Debra Austin received a scholarship to the School
of American Ballet when she was 12. At 16, she
was handpicked by George Balanchine to join
the New York City Ballet. While at New York City
Ballet, Debra danced many principal roles by both
Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, one of which
was filmed for a PBS television special, Live From
Lincoln Center. She later joined the Zurich Ballet
in Switzerland where she danced principal roles in
works by all of the major choreographers. Ms. Austin toured with the
company throughout Europe. After her return to the United States, she
was invited to join Pennsylvania Ballet as a principal dancer where she
danced roles in Swan Lake, Coppelia, A Midsummer’s Night Dream,
Giselle and La Sylphide. She went on to assist Lynne Taylor-Corbett in
Ms. Taylor-Corbett’s ballet The Dancing Princesses, and in Florida was
a preliminary judge for the National Foundation for the Advancement of
the Arts.
Patricia Barker - USA
Grand Rapids Ballet/Artistic Director
Patricia Barker, former principal dancer with Pacific
Northwest Ballet, is considered one of the world’s
most gifted ballerinas. She received her early ballet
training from Lynne Williams in Richland, WA, studied
on scholarship both at Boston Ballet School with
E. Virginia Williams and Violette Verdi and Pacific
Northwest Ballet School with Francia Russell, Perry
Brunson and Janet Reed. Ms. Barker has danced in
many of the great full length ballets and contemporary
works from renowned choreographers. She performed with Pacific
Northwest Ballet extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and North
America as well as a guest artists in galas worldwide. Ms. Barker danced
the lead role of Clara in Nutcracker the Motion Picture, and starred as
Titania in the BBC’s film, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She graced the
covers of Dance Magazine, Danser, Pointe Magazine, Dance Australia,
Dance Teacher, Dance Pages, Ballet Review and Dance International.
She collaborated with Freed of London, producing an instructional video
answering dancers’ most frequently asked questions about the art of
wearing Pointe shoes. She is currently a board member of the Tateuchi
Center, a performing arts center in Bellevue, Washington and on the
advisory boards for Pointe Magazine, CriticalDance.com, California Ballet
and Broadway Bound. She is also dedicated to bring greater awareness to
bone and joint health by acting as a spokes person for the United States
Bone and Joint Decade.

Natayla BAshkatova – Russia
Cirque du Soleil/Previously Bolshoi Theater
Grigorovich Ballet,
Principal Dancer
Born in Russia, Bashkatova trained at the prestigious
Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow and Bolshoi Ballet
University. She became a principal dancer for the
Bolshoi Theater Grigorovich Ballet from 1989-1994
and immediately after was a guest principal dancer with
New York City Ballet. Her repertoire included many title
roles in the great classics including Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Kitri in Don
Quixote, Swanhilda in Coppelia, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake among many
others. Awards include “Best Ballerina of the Festival” at the 1992 Spoleto
International Arts Festival held in Spoleto, Italy. She has toured worldwide to
countries including Holland, Greece, Egypt, Hong Kong, France, and Belgium
among many others. After moving to the United States, she joined the Cirque
du Soleil in Las Vegas as a lead dancer in Mystere. In 1998, she moved
to Orlando to perform in Cirque du Soleil’s “La Nouba” where she currently
performs. She has been featured in numerous television commercials,
interviews, and videos with Cirque du Soleil.
Susan Bello - Venezuela
Ballet Gamonet/Maximum Dance/
Principal Dancer
Susan Bello is native from Maracaibo, Venezuela
who trained with Sasha Gosic and Nedo Vojkich. In
1998, she joined Ballet de Maracaibo under direction
of Nedo Vojkick. She has also worked with directors
such as Zhandra Rodriguez and Vicente Nebrada,
and danced with Ballet Nuevo Mundo and the Ballet
Nacional de Caracas. She has performed principal
roles in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote and Fire Bird,
among others. In Venezuela 1998, Susan received the awards for the Best
Classical Dancer in the national competition “Casa del Artista”. Susan dances
with Ballet Gamonet/Maximum Dance.

Marin Boieru - Romania
Carolina Ballet/Ballet Master
Marin Boieru began his ballet training in Romania
and later trained at the Kirov Ballet in Leningrad.
Mr. Boieru came to Carolina Ballet after seven
years as principal dancer for the Miami City Ballet
under the direction of Edward Villella. He has
performed as a principal for such companies as
the Pennsylvania Ballet, Maurice Bejart’s Ballet of
the 20th Century, Roland Petit’s Ballet Company
of Marseilles, France and Opera of Bucharest. He
is the winner of the gold medal at the prestigious Varna and Moscow
Ballet competitions. Mr. Boieru starred as James in Peter Martin’s PBS
production of La Sylphide and as Albrecht on European television in the
Romanian National Ballet’s production of Giselle.
LUBA GULYAEVA – Russia
New Jersey Ballet/Ballet Mistress
A graduate of the Vaganova Ballet Academy in
Leningrad, Ms. Gulyaeva joined the Kirov Ballet in
1972, dancing featured roles in Sleeping Beauty,
Giselle, La Bayadere and Don Quixote. In the 1980s,
she was invited by Mikhail Baryshnikov to join the
staff of American Ballet Theatre where she taught
company class and coached the dancers. She also
taught all levels at the ABT School. Additional teaching
credits include the Australian Ballet in Melbourne, the School of American
Ballet in New York, and seminars at numerous universities in the U.S. Ms.
Gulyaeva’s students have gone on to dance with ABT, NYCB, Kirov, San
Francisco, North West Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Royal Ballet, American
Repertory Company, Broadway (The Music Man and Oklahoma) and
SAB. She has coached for American Ballet Theater throughout her life.
She is so skilled and respected that Mikhail Baryshnikov continues to call
upon her talents to help coach and train his dancers.

Kate Honea - USA
Sarasota Ballet/Principal Dancer

Kate Walsh Honea, of Longboat Key, Florida,
currently is dancing with The Sarasota Ballet,
returning for her fourteenth season in 2015/2016.
Kate trained with the Sarasota Ballet School, as
well as the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, where
she was a trainee with the company for two years
before joining The Sarasota Ballet in 2002. She
was promoted to soloist in 2006, then to Principal in 2009. Kate has
danced lead and featured roles in ballets by Sir Frederick Ashton, George
Balanchine, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Hans Van Manen, Anthony Tudor,
Matthew Bourne, Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor, Johan
Kobborg, Will Tuckett, Christopher Bruce and Rudolf Nureyev. She also
toured to Marrakech, Morocco for the 2005 FIFA Congress performance,
as well as toured through out Germany and Austria for the 2006 Best of
Musical Tour. Kate also appeared in Susan Stroman’s Contact in 2009.
She has choreographed four works for The Sarasota Ballet company, and
has been an instructor with the Sarasota Ballet School for thirteen years.
Kristina Kambalov - USA
First State Ballet Theatre/ School Director
Kristina Kambalov was born in Evansville, Indiana
and, at the age of nine, began studying ballet with
Jean Allenby. She continued her studies at North
Carolina School of the Arts and at the Joffrey Ballet
School and danced with Ballet Theatre Pennsylvania
and Russian Ballet Theater of Delaware. In 1999,
Ms. Kambalov co-founded First State Ballet Theatre.
Under her direction, the School of First State Ballet
Theatre has built an extraordinary record of achievement. Students of
the school have attended and received scholarships to some of the
most prestigious ballet schools in the world and have been accepted to
compete in Prix de Lausanne, World Ballet Competition, American Ballet
Competition, and Youth American Grand Prix. Students of the school
have gone to dance with Festival Ballet of Rhode Island, Alabama Ballet,
Los Angeles Ballet, Richmond Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, and First State Ballet
Theatre. In 2007, FSBT students were invited to perform at the 50th
Anniversary Gala di Danza in Italy’s Spoleto Festival die Du Mondi. In
2006, Ms. Kambalov received the Wilmingtonian Award for outstanding
contributions to the quality of life in Wilmington.

PASHA KAMBALOV - Russia
First State Ballet Theater/Artistic Director
Pasha Kambalov is a graduate of the Vaganova
Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia under
the direction of Konstantin Sergeyev, class of V.S.
Zimin. During his career he danced with Donetsk
Ballet in the Ukraine and Komi Republic State Opera
and Ballet in Russia, touring extensively throughout
the USSR, the United States and Europe. In the
U.S., he danced with Russian Ballet Theater
under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia Lev
Assaouliak. Kambalov is the founding Artistic Director of First State Ballet
Theatre, Delaware’s only company. Under his directorship the company
has performed great classical ballets including Giselle, The Sleeping
Beauty, Coppélia, Don Quixote, and Swan Lake and contemporary works
including Viktor Plotnikov’s Pinnochio and Alex Buckner’s A Midsummer
Night’s Dream. Kambalov helped to establish residency for the company
and the school of First State Ballet Theatre at the historic Grand Opera
House in Wilmington, Delaware and has successfully built artistic
partnerships with The Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Opera Delaware,
The Grand Opera House and the City of Wilmington. He was awarded the
2005-06 Teacher Recognition Certificate from the National Foundation
for Advancement in the Arts. In the same year, he was awarded the
Wilmingtonian Award for outstanding contributions to the quality of life in
Wilmington.
Jean Logrea - Romania
Graz Ballet, Westchester Ballet/Director
Logrea came to the United States from Austria, where
for seven years he was a principal with the Graz Opera
House ballet company. He trained at the Choreographic
Institute in Cluj (Romania) in Classical Ballet,
Character, and Folk Dance, he was a principal at the
Opera House Cluj, as well as a teacher at the affiliated
school for nine years. There he was entrusted with a
class of especially talented students, all of whom are
now dancing internationally with major companies. He toured extensively
throughout Europe and the USSR in such major roles as Mercutio in
Romeo and Juliet, the Jester in Swan Lake, the pas de deux from Le
Corsaire, and the Rocker in The Miraculous Mandarin. Jean is the CoDirector of the Logrea Dance Academy in Ossining, NY and he is the
Co-Artistic Director of Westchester Ballet Company.

COSMIN MARCULETIU - USA
Festival Ballet Providence/Ballet Master
Cosmin is a native Transylvanian from Sibiu,
Romania. At age 9, Cosmin was discovered in a
nation-wide search for artistic talents and accepted
into the Academy of Arts and Choreography in
Cluj-Napoca, RO. He completed the Academy with
honors and also received certification in pedagogy
and choreography. After graduating, Cosmin was
engaged as a soloist with the Romanian National
Ballet in Cluj-Napoca, RO and the touring company
Europe Ballet. He continued his professional dance career with the
Croatian National Ballet in Croatia’s capital, Zagreb. Cosmin danced in
various productions and commercials and performances. Cosmin has
established himself as a master ballet instructor in New England and
the east coast since his arrival to the USA in 2002. He was on the
dance faculty of the Boston Arts Academy and artistic associate at Jose
Mateo’s Ballet Theatre where he coached, taught and rehearsed students
and company members. Cosmin has also received excellent reviews for
his performances in the various productions from the Boston Globe, the
Boston Herald, and the Metro. In August of 2010 Cosmin founded the
International Ballet Academy of Norwell which is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
organization dedicated to serve the South Shore of Massachusetts, New
England and artistic communities abroad.
Radenko Pavlovich - Croatia
Columbia Classical Ballet/Artistic Director
Radenko Pavlovich, a native of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia,
was selected by Yugoslavian officials to attend the
Sarajevo Opera Ballet School. He quickly advanced to
the top of his class and earned the privilege to attend
the prestigious Vaganova Institute in St. Petersburg,
Russia. In his final year, he gained acceptance, and
a full scholarship, to attend the Royal Ballet School in
London, England, becoming the only foreign student
in a highly elite graduating class. Upon graduation,
Grand Ballet Master, Rudolf Nureyev, noticed him
immediately, and went on to coach him personally in matters of technique
and character. Mr. Pavlovich went on to earn highest honors at the Balkan
Ballet Competition under Mr. Nureyev’s tutelage. Mr. Pavlovich began
dancing with the Austrian National Ballet. He became a soloist with the
Croatian National Theatre of Yugoslavia and London Festival Ballet,
and later became a principal with the Munich State Opera Ballet, Ballet
Casa Della Cultura in Equador, and Atlanta Ballet. After retirement, Mr.
Pavlovich relocated to Columbia, where he opened the Pavlovich Dance
School in Forest Acres and

founded the Columbia Classical Ballet. The company, from its inception,
has been comprised of the highest-caliber dancers, qualifying Columbia
Classical ballet as one of the most distinctive and reputable companies
of its size.
RODNEY RIVERA - Puerto Rico
Ballet Brio/Artistic Director
Recognized dance figure of Puerto Rico (PR),
Rivera’s ballet teachers included Vladimir Issaev,
Carlota Carrera, and Silvia Marichal and later he
finished his studies under scholarship at Point
Park University. In 1994, he became the first male
Puerto Rican to participate in the International
Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. Rivera
has performed leading roles in many traditional
classical works as well as countless world premieres
dancing in major theatres around the globe
including Taiwan, Cuba, Haiti, Egypt, Japan, USA, Aruba, Mexico, Spain
and Italy. In 1999, he joined Ballet Brio of Bayamon invited by Elisabette
Calero who encouraged him to continue on growing as a choreographer.
His prolific career as a choreographer include collaborations with Ballets
de San Juan, Zig Zag Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, Ballet Municipal of San
Juan, Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, Hermanos Cepeda Foundation,
and Balleteatro Nacional of PR. In 2006, his piece titled “Donde estan?”
won the Gold Medal at the Argentina International Dance Competition. In
2010, The Puertorrican Institute of Culture recognized him as the best
choreographer of the year for his enormous contribution to dance in PR.
That same year, he became the artistic director at Ballet Brio. Under his
direction, Ballet Brio has become one of the main contemporary dance
companies in PR and Latin America.
Jeffrey Rogers - USA
Ballet West/ Principal Faculty Member
Jeffrey Rogers began his early training in Germany
under Maureen Gergun, a former Soloist from
the Royal Ballet in London. He then continued his
formation at the Olaker Youth Civic Ballet in Virginia,
under Christine Parks, an original member of the
Ballet Society, which became the American Ballet
Theatre. Rogers was awarded full scholarships to the
School of American Ballet, ABT, and Joffrey where he
trained under renowned teachers Stanley Williams,
Andrei Kramirevsky and Richard Rapp. On another full scholarship at
the National Academy of Arts in Illinois, he completed his formation in
the Vaganova, Bournonville and Cecchetti techniques, working with
such great teachers as Petrus Bosman, Georgina Parkinson and Valerie

Taylor of the Royal Ballet and Francesca Corkle of the Joffrey Ballet,
Flemming Halby, Larissa Skylanskya and Toni Lander of The Royal
Danish Ballet. The honor being one of the first recipients of the prestigious
Princess Grace Foundation Award for Artistic Excellence in dance,
ultimately lead Rogers to a long career as Principal dancer with Ballet
West in Salt Lake City under the artistic directorships of Bruce Marks,
John Hart and Jonas Kåge. Rogers has danced all of the major principal
roles in the classical repertoire from Albrecht to Siegfried as well as in
the best contemporary works by renowned choreographers including Val
Caniparoli’s The Lady of the Camellias and Lambarena, Eugene Loring’s
Billy the Kid, John Butler’s Carmina Burana, Paul Taylor’s Company B,
and William Forsythe’s Artifact II. Currently an adjunct professor at the
University of Utah’s Dance Department, Principal teacher the Ballet West
Academy, company teacher for Ballet West, and a Master Teacher and
Judge for the world renowned YAGP, Rogers also teaches at companies
and schools nationally.
MARINA STOLYAR - RUSSIA
International Guest Performer
& Master Pianist
Stolyar received her Bachelor’s degree from the
prestigious Gnessin Music College in Moscow
and her Master’s degree from the Gorky State
Conservatory. Since her early teenage years she
has worked with wellknown Russian actors, singers
and directors in Moscow Theaters and television
programs. After her arrival in the U.S. in 1991,
she continued her career as a solo performer and
musical director. A significant portion of her career has been dedicated
to ballet: as a master pianist for classes and performances as well as
teaching music to dancers and teachers. She has worked at various major
ballet competitions and programs in the USA including International Ballet
Competition in Jackson, Youth America Grand Prix in New York, The
Harid Conservatory, many regional festivals and workshops. For the last
several years she has been the pianist for World Ballet Competition in
Orlando, Florida. In March 2014 and 2015 she also served on the jury
of the World Ballet Competition OPEN in Sibiu, Romania. She has also
released several audio CD’s for ballet class.

Carlos Valcárcel - Spain
The School of Ballet Arizona/School Director
Carlos Valcárcel began his studies at Victor Ullate School
in Madrid and Maria de Avila Ballet School under Lola
de Avila and Ana Baselga. He danced principal roles at
Ballet Victor Ullate and was named Soloist at Balletto di
Toscana and later at the Stuttgart Ballet of Germany. Mr.
Valcárcel graduated from Royal Conservatoire of Madrid
and received an award of distinction upon graduating
from the Royal Academy of Dance teacher’s course.
He directed and was principal teacher of his own ballet
school in Madrid before joining the Showa School for
Performing Arts in Tokyo, under the artistic direction of Sir Peter Wright
CBE. At the Showa School, he was the Principal Tutor and Lecturer of
the Ballet Department. In 2006, Mr. Valcárcel began working at The
Washington Ballet as a teacher and choreographer. In 2010, he was
appointed Ballet Master of the Trainee Program. Mr. Valcárcel has also
been credited with coaching principal ballerinas such as Miss Tamara
Rojo of The Royal Ballet. Mr. Valcárcel’s students have won medals at
the Youth America Grand Prix, USA International Ballet Competition, and
the World Ballet Competition in Orlando. He was the recipient of YAGP’s
“Outstanding Young Choreographer Award” in 2009. Since joining
Ballet Arizona in 2011 as Director of its School, Mr. Valcárcel created
and expanded the School’s summer intensive program and its PreProfessional Program while increasing exposure through local television
and media. Mr. Valcárcel is enthusiastically committed to preparing the
next generation of young professional dancers for their careers, and
he is excited about expanding the recreational dance program and the
community outreach programs of Ballet Arizona.

Xiomara Reyes (Cuba)

Born in Cuba, Xiomara Reyes studied at Cuba’s National Ballet
School. Upon her graduation, she danced as a soloist with
La Joven Guardia, the second company of Cuba’s National
Ballet. Two years later she was invited to appear with the Royal
Ballet of Flanders in Belgium. She danced with this company
for seven years rising to the rank of First Soloist. With the
Royal Ballet of Flanders, she also danced in Europe, Asia, and
the United States. She has danced as a guest in France with the Jeune Ballet de France,
in Italy with Balleto Del Sud, in Greece with the Nafsika Dance Theater, in Korea at the
International Dance Festival and in Russia with the Bashkirian State Ballet. Her awards
include: the Gold Medal for the Best Soloist at the International Ballet Competition of
Chiclayo, Peru (1996), Best Couple Prize at the XIV International Ballet Competition in
Varna, Bulgaria (1990), Silver Medal at the Cinquienne Concours International de Danse
de Paris (1992), and Second Prize at the International Ballet Competition in Luxembourg
(1995). Reyes joined American Ballet Theatre as a Soloist in January 2001 and was
appointed to Principal in April 2003. Her roles with the Company include a leading role in
Allegro Brillante, Cinderella in Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella, Swanilda in Coppélia, Kitri

Berlin State Ballet
Born in Chisinau, Moldova, Mr. Tamazlacaru graduated from the
National Ballet School in 2000 and the Vienna Ballet Conservatory

he won the Silver Medal at The World Ballet Competition
in Orlando, Florida after which Batista joined Boston Ballet for the 2013-2014 season.

Karlsruhe for a season before being recruited by Ballet Ireland.
Karina most recently has been dancing with the Sao Paulo
Companhia de Danca. Karina’s repertory includes Principal roles

Pederneiras, The Nutcracker by Tatiana Leskova and a Demi-Soloist role in Theme and

Miguel Anaya (Cuba)
The Washington Ballet
From Havana, Cuba, Miguel Anaya trained at the Alfonso Perez
Isaac School and National Ballet School of Cuba, where he
graduated in 2012. He was invited to the Varna International
Ballet Competition in 2010 and the YAGP in 2011. In 2012,
Anaya won the Grand Prix National Competition in Cuba, and
performed as a Soloist dancer with the National Ballet of Cuba
with Alicia Alonso. Anaya’s major roles include Basilio in Don
Quixote, King of the Snow, the Prince in The Nutcracker, Franz
in Coppélia, a principal in Flames of Paris. Anaya has also performed the Pas de Deux in
Grand pas Classique, Le Corsaire and The Nutcracker. As a guest artist, Anaya performed
the pas de deux from Paquita and Satanella at a Gala with Florida Classical Ballet in
2014. He has trained with Ramona de Saa, Marta Iris, Nor Maria, Ana Julia Bermudez,
Magaly Suarez, Alicia Alonso, Mst. Mida, Fernando Alonso and Alberto Mendez. Anaya

Of Yokohama, Japan, Maki Onuki is in her 10th season with
The Washington Ballet after one season with The Studio
Company. Before joining TWB, Ms. Onuki danced with Goh
Ballet in Canada under Choo Chiat Goh and Lin Yee Goh.
She trained at John Cranko Ballet School under the direction
of Tadeusz Matacz, and at Mika Sasaki Ballet Academy under
Mika Sasaki and Mikio Ikehata. Additionally, she attended
Boston Ballet’s summer program on scholarship. Ms. Onuki

awards at prestigious ballet competitions among several “Best
Dancer” awards at various competitions in Brazil. Ms. Coelho
received the bronze and silver medal at the Boson International
Ballet Competition, and was a finalist for the Prix de Lausanne
in 2014 in Switzerland. In 2013, she was awarded the Gold Medal in the Pre-Professional
Category of the World Ballet Competition’s Annual Finals held in Orlando, Florida as well
as the Gold Medal in the Pas de Deux Category at the 2014 World Ballet Competition. Both
years she was featured in the World Ballet Competition’s All Stars of Dance gala receiving
great acclaim amongst the jury and audiences. In January of 2015 she began training at
American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York City.
Jorge Barani (Cuba)
Kentucky Ballet Theatre
Jorge Barani graduated from the National School of Arts in
Havana, Cuba in 2010. His professional career began at the
National Ballet of Cuba where he performed important roles
in ballets such as Fairy Doll, Romeo and Juliet, La Fille Mal
Gardée, Dracula and others. He joined Ballet de Monterrey
in 2012, and moved to the U.S. in 2013 to dance at Arts
Ballet Theatre of Florida. Mr. Barani was invited to perform with
the Royal Ballet in London. His international roles include Le
Corsaire pas de deux, Black Swan pas de deux, Don Quixote pas de deux and Flames

Quixote pas de deux and Flames of Paris pas de deux, to mention a few. Mr. Barani
won the 2013 Gold Medal in the Professional Category at the World Ballet Competition
in Orlando. Mr. Barani just completed his first season at the Kentucky Ballet Theatre.
Andrew Brader (USA)
Complexions
Andrew Brader was born and raised in New Orleans, Lousiana,
and trained at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, The
Harid Conservatory, and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School
at American Ballet Theatre. He was invited to join ABT as an
apprentice dancing with the company at The Metropolitan Opera
House and then joined the Houston Ballet. Andrew danced with
the Los Angeles Ballet for four seasons performing principal roles
in Balanchine’s Agon, The Four Temperaments, Stravinsky Violin
Concerto, Serenade, Kammermusik No.2, Lar Lubovitch’s The Evangelist, Bournonville’s
Napoli Pas de Six, and original works by Josie Walsh, Sonya Tayeh, Olivier Wevers,
and Melissa Barak’s Scrying presented as the first dance installation performed at NYC’s
Museum of Modern Art. Brader was a 2009 Lester Horton Award nominee for Outstanding
Achievement in Performance and spent two seasons with BalletMet Columbus before
joining Städtische Theater Chemnitz as a soloist in Chemnitz, Germany. Brader joined
Complexions in 2014.
Ashley Mayeux (USA)
Complexions
Ashley Mayeux was born and raised in Houston, Texas where
she attended the High School of the Performing and Visual Arts.
After high school she went on to receive her BFA with honors
in the dance conservatory at Suny Purchase College in May
2012. She has also trained with Dance Theatre of Harlem’s
Professional Training Program. In May 2012 she toured with
cast of the Broadway show Aida. Ashley joined Complexions
Contemporary Ballet in the 2012-13 Season.
Clifford Williams (USA)
Complexions
Clifford Williams began his dance training at F.H. LaGuardia
High School of Art and the Performing Arts. He attended
The Ailey School and The School of American Ballet, both on
scholarship. In 1998, he was a first-level recipient of a National
Foundation for Advancement in the Arts award and began study
at The Juilliard School. In 2001, he was invited to join Dance
Theatre of Harlem and in 2004, Mr. Williams joined Complexions
Contemporary Ballet (New York, NY). He has danced works
by Dwight Rhoden, William Forsythe, Nicolo Fonte and Jae Man Joo. Mr. Williams has
assisted Director/Choreographer Dwight Rhoden on numerous projects including ballets
for North Carolina Dance Theater, Pittsburgh Ballet, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet , The Diana

Vishneva Project, Ballet San Jose, Israel Ballet, Teatro Dell’Opera Di Roma as well as
for the television show “So You Think You Can Dance.” He has also set Dwight Rhoden’s
works on schools such as The Ailey School/Fordham University, Boston Conservatory ,
Harvard University Marymount University and NYU Tisch School for the Arts. In 2008, Mr.
Williams joined Compañia Nacional De Danza as a Principal dancer under the Direction
of Nacho Duato. He rejoined Complexions in 2009 before being appointed to artist in
residence in 2012. He is also certified in teaching “Nique” the official Contemporary Ballet
technique of Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Mr. Williams was featured in Debbie Allen’s
“The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” as the Title character which aired on BET Network in 2014.
He is also part of cast of the up coming Starz Network Mini-series “Flesh and Bone” due
to air later this year in 2015. Most recently Mr. Williams performed as Meyer Wolfsheim in
an international production of The Great Gatsby, Choreographed and Directed by Dwight
Rhoden.
Christye Alan (USA)
Metropolis Productions
Christye Alan began her dance training under Pat and Tanju
Tuzer at the Tuzer Dancecenter in Dallas, Texas. At 19, she
became a member of the Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet where she
performed from 1989-1993 under Paul Mejia and Suzanne
Farrel and then went on to join Ballet Dallas in 1994. Christye
left the ballet to sail around the world performing for several
high end cruise lines. From the seven seas, her talents then
took her to Las Vegas in 1996 where she performed in the
Siegfried and Roy Show. It was from here that she then became the Principal Dancer for
“Enter the Night” at the Stardust Hotel and Casino. In 2000, Christye moved to Orlando,
FL to perform in Disney’s show “Tarzan Rocks” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. That same
year, she also joined the Central Florida Ballet and has remained to the present. Christye
is currently the Aerial Director for Metropolis Productions and Director of its school, Metro
Movement and Aerial Arts. Her newest and most prized role is “Mommy” to 3 year old twins,
Aidan and Ashton. Christye feels so blessed to still be performing with CFB
Stacy Burchfield (USA)
Metropolis Productions
Stacy is a professional aerialist currently based out of Orlando,
Florida. Stacy grew up dancing and tumbling in Oviedo, FL at
University Performing Arts Centre where she studied acrobatics,
jazz, ballet, lyrical, and tap. She danced competitively for 10 years
winning numerous regional and national awards. After receiving
her BS from Flagler College in Graphic Design, Stacy worked in
a corporate graphic design studio for two years. During the summer of 2010, Stacy was
introduced to the aerial arts and immediately began training at Metro Movement and Aerial
Arts under the instruction of Christye Alan. Stacy first started off training tissu and was later
introduced to aerial hoop. Stacy has professionally worked under Metropolis Productions, a
well-known entertainment production company in Orlando, FL. She has also worked with Q
Productions (Las Vegas, NV), Universal Studios (Orlando, FL), and Sea World (Orlando,
FL and San Diego, CA) to name a few. She also teaches aerial hoop and tissu classes at
Metro Movement and Aerial Arts.

Ballet and BalletMet Ohio. Rodney Rivera has mastered the fusion of different styles that
has given Brío their unique identity. Their passion and willingness to explore movement is
