stay. Should you wish further details, simply call our friendly reception staff or ask in person at
the desk. In addition to our 101 deluxe bedrooms, an executive suite consisting of boardroom
and en suite is available.

The Management Centre is a pleasant walk from both Stirling city centre and from Bridge
of Allan. Stirling rail station is approx 40 minutes walk and Bridge of Allan rail station is approx
25 minutes walk.

Cyclists travelling on trains – cyclists can alight at either Stirling or Bridge of Allan railway stations,
and cycle to the campus. NB: on most Scotrail services, bikes will be transported free of charge.
by bus
At peak times some 19 buses per hour run from Stirling to the centre. Most bus services run from
either just outside Stirling’s rail station or a two minute walk away, in Murray Place.

Regular services run from Edinburgh and Glasgow, which are both key interchanges for the
rest of the UK national rail network. Intercity services to Stirling station – from London 5 hours 15
minutes, from Edinburgh 45 minutes, from Glasgow 35 minutes

From the north – A9 via Perth and Bridge of Allan
From the east – A91 from St. Andrews, M9 from Edinburgh
From the south – M74, M73, A80, M80, M9
From the west – M8, A80, M80, M9 from Glasgow
NB: clients using the M9 motorway should exit at junction 11.
The University of Stirling campus is then clearly signposted via Bridge of Allan.

The railway station is only a short taxi ride from the Management Centre. A taxi stance
is directly opposite the station entrance.

your room and support
Your deluxe en suite bedroom has a flat screen television with freeview, radio/alarm
clock, welcome tray with tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press and
a hair dryer. To call reception, or any queries simply dial 0. While all our beds have
duvets, our housekeeper will be happy to provide sheets and blankets if you so prefer.
A supply of towels is also provided. Guests’ dry cleaning and laundry is operated
on a same day service if received by reception before 9am. An iron and ironing
board is also available from Reception should you require it.

Bedroom telephones are metered and charged to your
individual account. The reception desk is staffed from 7am until 11pm when our night
porter takes over until 7am. Photocopying and print facilities, together with office
support service, are available through reception who can advise of charges.
Incoming mail is delivered to the centre at approximately 10.30am and 4.30pm.
Letters may be posted at reception where stamps can be purchased.
These timings may be adapted by special arrangement with the organiser. Our chef
is happy to prepare for any special dietary requirements or particular requests though notice is appreciated. We offer a 24 hour room service for light snacks and
drinks with hot meals from our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus available
during normal restaurant hours, seven days a week. Other courtesy services
which can be arranged though reception for a small additional charge include
newspaper delivery and a daily laundry service.

The Gannochy Sports Centre, on site, offers the following facilities free of charge to
residents at the Stirling Management Centre (subject to availability) -

Several shops – including a mini market, bookshop, post office and newsagent, bank
(Bank of Scotland) with an Autoteller and a chemist – are located a short walk from the
centre by the MacRobert Arts Centre. A limited amount of toiletries are available for
sale on request at reception. Daily newspapers can be ordered and delivered to you
via reception.

On campus there is a 9 hole golf course and within an 18 mile radius you can find
at least 18, 18 hole courses! To avoid disappointment, please book with our sales staff.
The MacRobert Arts Centre, on site, offers a year round programme of theatre and
films. Details of current shows are available by calling (01786) 461081.
A variety of lively bars are on campus and a wide choice of restaurants is available
in Stirling and Bridge of Allan - from fine Scottish restaurants to wine bars, bistros and
American style fast foods.
When visiting Stirling, do try and find time to visit some of our many fine attractions
and sample the life of this Royal Burgh.

A first aider is always available on campus. For details of the local hospital, doctor and
dentist on call ask at reception.

You are invited to take care with regard to the security of your belongings as the
Management Centre cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.
Valuables should be deposited with reception.
FIRE: RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED TO READ THE FIRE REGULATIONS, COPIES OF WHICH
ARE DISPLAYED IN EACH BEDROOM BY THE DOOR. IN THE EVENT OF EVACUATION,
THE ASSEMBLY POINT IS AT THE FRONT ENTRANCE TO THE CENTRE. PLEASE
FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH YOUR NEAREST FIRE EXIT AS YOU MOVE
THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING AND NOTE A BELL TEST OF THE FIRE ALARM
IS PRACTISED EVERY TUESDAY MORNING AT 9AM.
departure
You are asked to vacate your room by 10am on the day of departure so that we can
prepare for other guests who may be arriving. Reception can advise you on the storage of
luggage if you are leaving later in the day. Methods of payment accepted at reception
include VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, AMEX and Switch. We wish you a safe journey home.
