You are a muckraker from the Progressive era. Your assignment is to create a persuasive newspaper advertisement. The ad should expose the
“evils” of child labor. This ad should convince Americans that they
should do something to stop child labor.
Process:
Use the information that you gathered from the Lewis Hine child labor photographs to persuade Americans that child labor is bad for American society. Create a historically accurate newspaper advertisement.

Write one to three paragraphs on
why child labor is not good for
America. It also should explain what
can be done to stop child labor.
