The James Oglethorpe Primary School PSPO

The James Oglethorpe
Primary School PSPO
- protecting children,
helping residents
Havering Council will be applying
a PSPO (Public Space Protection
Order) around James Oglethorpe
Primary School with effect from
Monday 14 November 2016.
This follows from a number of complaints about the safety of
children around the school and a public consultation that showed a
clear majority for the implementation of the scheme.
Any vehicle seen stopping to drop off or pick up pupils during the
school run within the designated zone will be monitored by cameras
and Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) of £100 may be issued. There will
be no prosecution if paid within 14 days of being issued. People who
do not pay FPNs, and those who offend more than three times, may
be prosecuted and face a fine of up to £1,000 and a criminal record.
The area subject to PSPO restrictions between 8am and 9.30am
and also between 2.30pm to 4pm is shown on the map overleaf and
indicated by signage in the affected streets.
To find out more search “PSPO” at www.havering.gov.uk. If you have
any questions email: [email protected].
