LEGAL NOTICES: Any legal notice is $1.89* per
line, with free, prompt affidavit service.
* Other bulk rates available.
COLOR CHARGE
LINE CLASSIFIED DEADLINE:

PRODUCTION CHARGES: Basic ad make-up is free
Design, illustration and Photography available
at a standard production rate of $60/hour.
PROOFS: Delivered upon request when possible.
Proof service is to correct typographical
errors and deviations from original layout. It
is the responsibility of the advertiser to report
errors. Upon approval, EW is no longer liable.
Two changes maximum. Further changes will
be charged at production rate. Changes from
original design, layout or copy may not be
possible after deadline.
PREMIUM/GUARANTEED PLACEMENT CHARGES
20% Additional charge for Premium
Placement. EW reserves the right to pre-empt
preferred placement, at our discretion.
SPECIFICATIONS: Camera ready ads should be in
a digital format, on disk or e-mailed to ads@
eugeneweekly.com.The ad should be sized to fit
EW ad sizes exactly without printers marks.
Preferred formats are: PDF, eps w/fonts
converted to paths or native file with all links
and fonts included. Color ads in CMYK
format.
AD DEADLINE: FRIDAY 5PM
• Payment is due with space reservation at
Friday 5PM unless credit has been established.
• Cancellation deadline: Friday 5PM.
EW reserves the right to charge for any ad
cancelled after deadline.
• Deadline for return of corrected proofs:
Tuesday noon.
• Camera ready ads due Tuesday noon.
PROOF AD MATERIAL DEADLINE: MONDAY NOON
EARLY DEADLINES: Ad deadlines are one day
earlier for issues on or near a holiday. Check
with your ad sales rep for specifics.

A basic line ad begins with two bold keywords
and contains a single typeface No graphic
elements. Base cost is $11.00 for three lines.
Additional lines are $4.00 per line. Line ads will
appear on the EW website automatically at no
extra charge.
• All line classified ads must be placed and paid
for by 4:30 p.m. Monday.
• Cancellation deadline is Monday, 4:30 p.m.
• No refunds will be given. Ads cancelled before
deadline will be replaced with equal value EW
credit.
• Material errors (incorrect phone number, etc.)
made by EW staff will result in equal value EW
credit.
• Advertisers shall notify EW staff of any error in
first publication by 5 p.m. Monday for
correction in future insertions. Repeated errors
in advertisement are not the responsibility of
EW and will not result in any refund or credit to
the advertiser.

Online Ad Guidelines
All ads must be supplied online ready, ads produced
by EW are subject to standard production charges.
FILE TYPE: JPEG, GIF, or Flash format.
IMAGE RESOLUTION: 72 dpi
FILE SIZE: under 40 KB (preferably under 25 KB)
• EW requires a border around all creative and
reserves the right to place a 1 pixel border around
any advertising banner if necessary.
• Submit Flash ads with no embedded
click-throughs.
• All Flash and rich media ads need to be
pre-approved before acceptance.
• Button-initiated audio only—rollover audio is not
permitted. Ads must include both a Play button
and a Mute button.
• EW will not to accept intrusive pop-up,
pop-under or floating, layered.
• Linking URLs must be domain name based and
cannot be the IP address.
• Advertisements cannot mislead the user. For
example, they may not mimic or resemble system
dialogue boxes, error messages, or the like
ONLINE DEADLINES:
• Materials due 1 business days prior to start of
campaign; 2 business days prior for Rich Media.
• All advertisements will be reviewed by EW
and are subject to approval before placement.
