We are moving towards a cashless society. In this context the role of computer will be significant in our endeavour
for a cashless society. There are concerns forms a large section of society about hacking. A large number of cases
of hacking of ATM cards etc. were reported. I hope that this conference will address this problem and try to dispel
the fear form the mind of a common man. It will also find ways and means by which menace of hacking can be
tackled.
Computing covers a large number of fields. I hope that this will be useful in solving the problem prevailing in

Preface
I take this opportunity to welcome you all to the souvenirs of the 1st VirtualCom-2016; 1st International Virtual
Conference on Computer Science, Engineering and Technology, focal theme on Computing for Sustainable
Global Development, VirtualCom–2016; the First edition of the annual series; being organized during 25th - 28th
December, 2016, organized by ISROSET, Indore India which this year is held in Indore, India. I wish to extend a
warm welcome to fellow delegates and participants from the various countries.
Throughout the world, nations have started recognizing that IT is now acting as a catalyst in speeding up the
economic activities in efficient governance, citizens’ empowerment and in improving the quality of human life.
Recent developments in IT have touched almost every conceivable area of human life. Emergence of Information
and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the national agenda, witnesses the impact of IT on good governance,
sustainable development, globalization of economy and social empowerment. In light of this, the theme, Computing
for Sustainable Global Development, is very much relevant and timely, even now.
In few words, the Conference will give a wide overview of the most -recent advances in the areas of E-Governance,
E-Commerce, Disaster Management, GIS, Geo-Spatial Technologies, Nano-Technology, Intellectual Property
Rights, AI And Expert Systems, Computer Science, Engineering(Software, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics &
Electrical), Technology, Networking, Soft Computing, High Performance Computing and Other Emerging
Technologies. The primary goal and vision of VirtualCom-2016 is to promote research and developmental activities
and to promote scientific information virtually interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students,
academicians and practitioners working in and around the world.
The objective was to bring the eminent academicians, scientists, researchers, industrialists, technocrats, government
representatives, social visionaries and experts from all strata of society, under one roof, to explore the new horizons
of innovative technologies to identify opportunities and define the path forward. This new path should eliminate
isolation, discourage redundant efforts and promote scientific progress aimed to accelerate India’s overall growth to
prominence on the International front and contribute effectively to realize and achieve the India 2020 mission of
being a Developed Nation. The conference will feature regular paper presentation sessions, invited talks, key note
addresses, panel discussions and poster exhibitions.

The mainstream conclusion about the purpose of implementing e-governance procedures is that these
enhance good governance. This good governance is generally characterised by participation, transparency and
accountability. This has proven to be a major problem in many developing countries. But the recent advances in
information and communication technologies provide opportunities to transform the relationship between
governments and citizens so as to enhance the achievement of good governance goals. In this paper we analyze
the benefits than can be achieved by implementing E-Governance programs, and also the challenges these
changes associated with these innovations.

Abstract— Information and communication technology intervention, advancement in internet technology
narrowed down the geographical barrier for information Interchange [1]. Tourism sector is one of the primary
benefitted sector due to rapid changes of information technology. Introduction of smart tourism, online
transactions, visually stunning virtual world creation of tourism places, availability of immediate information
further accelerated the expansion of tourism sector and driven tourism sector from traditional environment to
technology driven business environment. Social media usages, tourism dashboards, media streaming ensured to
achieve greater success for tourism sectors [2]. This paper identifies and evaluates methods of information
capturing and processing pertain to tourism sector. The paper also explores the possibility of social media data
streaming, extraction and mining [3] with the future scope of research towards visualization of information
through dashboards.

Abstract— Alamouti is Pioneer of Complex Orthogonal STBCS for two transmit branch diversity with code rate
one. Later Tarkoh investigated for four to nine transmit antennas with code rate 1/2. Jafarkhni proposed for nonorthogonal STBCS four transmit antennas with code rate one. O. Tirkkonen and A. Hottinen Proposed space-time
block codes for eight transmit antennas of code rate ½. Recently five, six, seven and eight transmit antennas
generalized complex orthogonal space-time block codes of code rate with 2/3, 2/3, 5/8, and 5/8 proposed.
Bao.T. et. al. Investigated OSTBC with maximal rates and minimal decoding for eight transmit antennas.
The theory of OSTBC was further developed by Khaled A.M. et.al. who achieved full rate transmission for
OSTBCs for six and eight antennas. This paper intends new matrix non-OSTBC for eleven transmit antenna with
full code rate.

Abstract—The present research findings briefs about the research carried out to study the impact of faculty
satisfaction on the quality of higher technical education by simulating the system dynamic model developed for
finding impact of faculty satisfaction on quality of higher technical education. Present study presents the impact
of faculty satisfaction on the quality of higher technical education. The model developed is simulated for time
horizon of 10 years and results are tabulated in the form of what-if scenario developed for optimum policy for
enhancing quality of higher technical education system.

Abstract—A pair of quadratic programming primal-dual problems is presented under fuzzy
environment. Appropriate duality results are established using aspiration level approach. This study uses
the parabolic concave membership functions to represent fulfillment of the decision maker‘s degree of
satisfaction in contrast to earlier works which relied on linear membership functions.

Abstract – GIS data can be divided into two formats, raster and vector. Raster format can represent the values
which give quantitative information such as temperature, vegetation intensity, land use/cover etc. Vector format
can represent the value which gives qualitative data which consists of point, lines and polygons and these
representing the location, distance or area of landscape features in graphical forms. For extracting the data we can
register the image for the initial processing. For register the image we can select the control points. This control
point selection can convert the quantity data into quality data. This process of transforming information (quantity)
into knowledge (quality) is called appropriation. To overcome the limitations of relational databases and provide a
greater knowledge in terms of knowledge we use the spatio-temporal database.

Fuzzy Logic Based Range Free Localization Using Bacterial Foraging

Abstract— The purpose of this paper is to improve the localization accuracy in anisotropic medium of wireless
sensor networks. To achieve this objective, a meta-heuristic efficient range free localization algorithm in 2D plane
for wireless sensor networks using fuzzy logic system (FLS) and bacterial foraging optimization (BFO) has been
proposed. The received signal strength (RSS) value is used to find out the distance between anchor nodes and
target nodes. Anisotropic property of the medium is also considered in this paper that creates non linearity
between RSS and distance between nodes. To overcome this non-linearity, we use FLS to model the edge weight
of the anchor nodes based on the RSS value. Further BFO is used to optimize the edge weights of anchor nodes to
improve localization accuracy. It is observed from the simulation results that the proposed algorithm performs
better in terms of localization accuracy compared to existing range free localization algorithms in literature.

Abstract— In an era of automation, an automatic and non-invasive tool is required for our day to day health
monitoring. Cardiac pulse measurement has drawn attention of researchers as it is one of the most important
physiological parameters. The presented approach for automatic cardiac pulse measurement uses a typical
webcam and is completely non-invasive. In the presented approach, color video is recorded and the face region is
extracted using Viola-Jones method. The color components of localized faces are segregated into RGB traces and
linear discriminant analysis was done to map the RGB traces to higher discriminative space. The power spectrums
of mapped RGB traces in time and frequency domain are computed using discrete wavelet transform. The peaks
of the power spectrum limited in the band region (0.75-4Hz) are explored to complete cardiac pulse measurement.
Experiments are carried out to measure the cardiac pulses in real time. The recorded accuracy is 96%, which
represents the efficacy of the presented approach.

Abstract— The objective of this paper is to develop the algorithms for simulation tool development for the cattle
feed mix formulation at different stages of livestock. These algorithms have been proposed to formulate the feed
mix for dairy cattle at minimum cost and maximum shelf life. Different forms of mathematical programming are
used to develop these algorithms such as stochastic and weighted goal programming. These algorithms
incorporate nutrient variability of different nutrients present in the feed ingredients. These algorithms also
minimize the deviations for the objectives of cost minimization and shelf life maximization which is not done by
the available software‘s. Using these algorithms, more balanced feed mix can be obtained which can optimize
multiple parameters at the same time.

Abstract—The advancement in web technology and popularity of web applications amplifies the inconsistencies
between various web browsers. These inconsistencies augment cross browser incompatibilities that constitute
different look on different browsers for a particular web application. In some cases, Cross-Browser
Inconsistencies (XBIs) consists of acceptablee difference whereas these may entirely prevent users from accessing
part of a web application‘s functionality in other cases. Therefore, testing process of a web application must be
performed comprehensively on multiple browsers to achieve consistency. Available tools and techniques require a
considerable manual effort to recognize such issues and provide limited support for fixing the cause of the issues.
In this paper, we propose a technique for detecting cross-browser issues without human intervention.

Abstract— Cryptosporidium parasites, especially C.parvum and C.hominis are obligate intracellular
apicomplexans protozoan parasite that infect epithelial cells of the small intestine posing life threatening
Cryptosporidiosis disease to immunocompromised person and young malnourished children. It is also well known
to be a troublesome waterborne pathogen. Pathogen transmission is naturally via contaminated drinking or
recreational water supplies by the environmentally resistant and chlorine resistant oocysts. Cryptosporidium is
classified in category B of bioweapons agents. However nitazoxanide, a nitrothiazole benzamide was approved by
FDA Department for treatment of cryptosporidiosis in immunocompetent individuals and Paramomycin is used to
treat C.parvum infections in animals. A Cryptosporidium infection starts by ingestion of oocysts with
contaminated water or food. Oocysts undergo excystation in gastrointestinal tract where four naked sporozoites
are formed which then infect epithelial cell and initiate asexual development. IMPDH an NAD+ enzyme remains
a promising drug target for anti-parasitic drugs. Cryptosporidium obtains guanine nucleotides via a streamlined
pathway that requires IMPDH. Curiously, the gene encoding CpIMPDH seems to have been obtained from
bacteria through lateral gene transfer so that the parasite enzyme is very different from host ortholog. IMPDH is a
homotetramer showing square planner symmetry. Inhibition of IMPDH is already used to treat viral infection and
could be used to treat parasitic infection as well. IMPDH has been isolated from different sources and 26 crystal
structures are deposited in PDB including mammals to apicomplexans and bacteria. There are several FDA
approved inhibitors that target IMPDH.

Abstract— This work presents a mathematical model of glucose metabolism including the digestion of
carbohydrate as a factor affecting blood glucose concentration for type 1 diabetic patient. It includes a
comparative study of glucose metabolism for different types of food: Black Beans, Whole Wheat Bread, Brown
Rice, Lentils and Oatmeal. The model involves the differential equations for change in concentration of glucose,
insulin and epinephrine in which factors for physical exercises and carbohydrates affecting glucose concentration
are also included. Graphs are drawn using the solution of the differential equations. This work represents glucose
level gained by different food items for both exercising and non-exercising person. It is concluded that there is a
great impact of physical exercises and eating habits in regulation of plasma glucose concentration for a type 1
diabetic patient.

Abstract—The aim of following paper is to introduce an Energy Constrained Routing algorithm for wireless
network to enhance the performance of network. The following schemes PECE there are two stages cluster
formation and stable data transfer. In stage one we used an energy saving clustering routing algorithm based on
degree of the nodes, left energy and relative distance between nodes. Whereas in stage two where we used BCO
(Bee Colony Optimization). On these basis of considering a precise definition of the route from source node to
sink node this algorithm helps in reducing energy consumption and increases the survival time.

Abstract— We have many authentication schemes presently, but they all have a few disadvantages. So recently,
the 3D password paradigm was introduced. The 3D password is multi-factor authentication system as it uses a
various authentication techniques such as graphical password, textual password etc. Most important part of 3D
password is inclusion of 3D virtual environment. However the 3D Password is still in its initial stages. Designing
various kinds of 3D virtual environments, interpreting user feedback and deciding on password spaces, and
experiences from such environments will bring about upgrading and enhancing the client experience of the 3D
Password. Moreover, gathering attackers from various foundations to break the system is one of the future works
that will lead to system improvement and demonstrate the complexity of breaking a 3D password. This paper
introduces a study of the 3D password and a way to deal with reinforce it by method for including a Fourth
dimension, that that deals with time recording and gesture recognition, and that would help strengthen the
authentication paradigm. Henceforth we endeavor to propose a 4D Password as a one-up technique to the 3D
Password.

Abstract—Wireless Sensor Network is a network of small sensor nodes which sense the environment for various
monitoring purposes of real life applications like military or commercial, which are required to be deployed in
areas with no connectivity to the outside world. But, these nodes come with a limitation of having short battery
life which needs to be recovered by applying various optimization techniques. In this paper, we are comparing
two optimization algorithms that are Genetic algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, on the basis
of their cluster head selection and cluster formation techniques to solve the problem of energy consumption by
sensor nodes. We are experimenting with the different number of clusters to check the efficiency of each
algorithm in MATLAB (simulation tool).

Abstract— E-Governance enables use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for smooth
working of government by providing transparency efficient working in immediate response to end the citizens in
cost effective manner. The exiting e-Governance is server centric and is not able to address all users including
rural and urban citizens. Governments today are still facing challenges like lack of financial and technological
resources, digital divide, poor IT infrastructure and lack of management in delivering core services to their
citizens. Cloud Computing is a new way of delivering Services to the customer using pay-per-use model which
not only involves less capital expenditure with minimum upfront cost, but is also more user and environmental
friendly. This paper presents a cloud based model for implementation of e-Governance services. We found that
the implementation of cloud-based e-government architecture cost-saving of Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) investment in our country.

Abstract— Content based image retrieval (CBIR) presents an effectual strategy to probe the pictures from the
databases. The function extraction and homogeneous attribute measures are the 2 key parameters for retrieval
efficiency. A uniform attribute measure performs a paramount function in picture retrieval. ―content-based"
designates that the quest analyzes the contents of the image alternatively than the metadata equivalent to keyword
phrases, tags, or descriptions associated with the picture. In this study, present an evaluation of dominant color
descriptor (DCD) and wavelet transform in YCbCr color space for CBIR. In this work, color, feature is extracted
using DCD for RGB and HSV color space and auto correlogram (AC). Texture feature is extracted using discrete
wavelet transform (DWT) and Gabor Filter. Shape feature is extracted with the use of Kurtosis and Skewness. We
take Corel-1000 database-African, Flowers, Food, Elephant and Horse images. Also calculate the Euclidean
distance (ED), relative standard deviation (RSD), Correlation, Canberra distance (CD) and Jaccard distance (JD)
between giving image and database images. For classification, used support vector machine (SVM) to organize
the categories without time consuming. The performance analysis is evaluated on precision and accuracy.

Abstract- In near future, there is a great possibility of autonomous vehicle navigation. These days stop signs,
traffic lights, and intersections assist the human-driven cars to cross the traffic. Now the computers will take over
the human drivers i.e., the computers will ―behind the wheel‖. With the help of computerized drivers, automobile
travel will be much more safe and efficient because of more accurate control, highly defined sensors and quick
reaction times.

Abstract— Health Informatics is a professional domain which deals with the computation as well as information
management utilizations in the health related purpose. The Field is also known as Health Information Science in
international context. Health Informatics and its uses are quite old though in Health Informatics utilizations are in
initial stage in many context and countries. Proper management as well as governmental initiatives and
educational opportunities etc. are limited till for several reasons. Health Informatics may put healthy attendance
and role in betterment and fulfilment of health and medicinal requirement. Health Informatics is ultimately
responsible for the smart and dedicated information systems creation and development. In many countries Health
Informatics and allied programs are running and enhanced as per the requirement of time. This paper is deals with
many aspects of Health Informatics including its characteristics and features, need with role. Though, the paper is
also intended to draw the need of several Health Informatics programs as per the need of hour and thus several
programs have been proposed. The paper specially designed as per the Indian requirement and context. The need
and role of Health Informatics is also presented according the requirement of India and similar countries.
Moreover the paper emphasized the need of Health Informatics program in engineering platform and mainly at
MTech level. Thus, a proposed program has presented as per the study of existing MTech programs and according
to the need of the Health Informatics in health and medical domain.

Abstract—with the boon of social media and abundance of mobile based support system, the improvement of
typical governance system (Autonomous, NGO and NPO) with efficient feedbacks is desirable aspect for
university. In this work frameworks that automate the information notification and grievances registration process
in government universities of Madhya Pradesh. With enforcement of privacy preservation, this system hides the
identity of the user filing a grievance. With usage of popular Google cloud messaging and firebase the system
produces notification and database respectively on android device, portability is ensured. The system finds
suitability for deployment template for all those organization, that has less number of staff-members, and enables
them to give notification but they will not able to hinder anybody‘s privacy. With restricted view/edit
permissions, the pupils of organization will only be able to read the notification and file the complaints. Nobody
else then the members of the organization will be able to file a complaint.

Abstract—Worldwide high bandwidth demand has created the need for exploring high frequencies spectrum for
providing 5G broadband wireless communication. 5G broadband wireless communication is exploring millimeter
wave (mmWave) frequencies spectrum for the frequencies band 28-GHz, 37-GHz and 39-GHz. In this paper, we
discuss 5G mmWave communication and calculation of mmWave attenuation due to vegetation obstruction.
Fitted ITU-R (F-ITU-R) model is used to calculate the vegetation obstruction attenuation for 28-GHz, 37-GHz
and 39-GHz frequencies. This paper also presents transmission signal power control in 5G mmWave
communication system using software defined radio (SDR) in the presence of vegetation attenuation. Further, 5G
mmWave communication, Shannon channel capacity (SCC) is calculated for the frequencies 28-GHz, 37-GHz
and 39-GHz in the vegetation environment. The results calculated in this paper are useful for the researchers as
well as for the industries to calculate wireless system link budget analysis in the 5G mmWave communication
system.

Abstract: There are lots of challenges faced by the enterprises to make a product green. It may be related to their
design, process and the salvage diffusion after recycling. To untie these problems, an EPQ model is proposed with
product stewardship and green design. Shortage is not allowed in the total time cycle. To facilitate the model,
demand depends on selling price. Product stewardship cost and green design cost is calculated to make this model
more reliable. An optimal policy is derived for the model and to represent the analytic result convexity and
sensitivity analysis is also done in the paper.

Abstract— Every organization connected to the internet has one common threat of zero-day attacks. Zero-day
exploits are unnoticed until a specific vulnerability is actually identified and reported. Zero-day attacks are
difficult to defend against because it is mostly detected only after it has completed its course of action. Protecting
networks, applications and systems from zero-day attacks is the daunting task for organization‘s security persons.
This paper analyzed the research efforts in relation to detection of zero-day attacks. The fundamental limitations
of existing approaches are the signature generation of unknown activities and the false alarming rate of anomalous
behavior. To overcome these issues, this paper proposes a new approach for zero-day attacks analysis and
detection, which senses the organization‘s network and monitors the behavioral activity of zero-day exploit at
each and every stage of their life cycle. The proposed approach in this paper provides a machine learning based
framework to sense network traffic that detects anomalous behavior of network in order to identify the presence
of zero-day exploit. The proposed framework uses supervised classification schemes for assessment of known
classes with the adaptability of unsupervised classification in order to detect the new dimension of classification.

Abstract— E crimes are the crimes performed with the help of computer. They are increasing in proportion with the
technology usage of the common man. Detection of E crimes is incurring a very high cost to individual,
organization and government as huge data collection and analysis is required to find them. A big challenge is faced
by technocrats to detect E crimes efficiently from voluminous data. On the other hand data mining is powerful tool
for extracting useful information from a huge data base. Thus this paper has merged these two fields in order to find
a good solution to the problem. This paper will answer the question of how data mining techniques can be used to
detect these unseen E crimes. It is also going to describe how Cybercrimes problems can be thought of as data
mining problems

Optimization of Packet size for Energy efficient Underwater Acoustic
Sensor Networks

Abstract—Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks (UASNs) are formed by acoustically connected underwater
sensor nodes, underwater vehicles and surface stations to provide communication links to onshore radio stations.
UASNs nodes are typically powered by batteries. Replacing or recharging of batteries in aquatic environment is
very difficult. In this paper, we found the total energy consumption in direct communication and cooperative
communication in Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks (UASNs). Our aim is to maximize the energy efficiency
by finding the optimal packet size in UASNs. We found that the packet error rate in cooperative communication is
low compared to that in direct communication. Using analytical model, the optimal packet size to maximize the
energy efficiency in both direct and
cooperative communication are identified.

Abstract- Indus complex is a synchrotron particle accelerator facility as particle accelerator in Raja Ramanna
Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore: Indus-1 and Indus-2. Indus-1 and Indus-2 comprises of several
subsystem like Magnet Power Supply (MPS) system, Vacuum system etc. There exists an automated Indus data
acquisition system which stores the periodic data from these subsystems to SQL database. This raw data stored in
the database is usually served to end user from web in tabular form. Extracting meaningful information from raw
data is difficult and limits user to perform significant analysis on raw data. This work aims to provide solution to
this real problem by providing the common portal where data analysis reports can be deployed to serve end users
and to reduce the data retrieving load of the centralized database server. The reports are scheduled to be delivered
in excel format at non-peak hours which improves the performance of database system. To develop initial
prototype, a common task of tracing and displaying the power supplies data of Magnet Power Supply (MPS) subsystem during ―ramping‖ and ―cycling‖ events was selected. Daily generated graphical and tabular reports are
deployed successfully on web portal.

Hybrid DWT, FFT & SVD based Watermarking Technique for Different
wavelet Transforms

Abstract—The primary function of developing a digital image watermarking (DIW) procedure is to meet both
imperceptibility and robustness requirements. Digital watermarking seems as an effective process of protecting
multimedia contents such as copyright safeguard and authentication. In this paper, we endorse SVD founded digital
watermarking procedure for powerful watermarking of digital pictures for copyright safety. In proposed research, a
novel and robust digital watermarking method is introduced in which a mixture of DWT (Discrete Wavelet
Transform) and FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) along with SVD (Singular Value Decomposition) is applied. Due to
the usage of this combination of 3 techniques in our proposed work, it increases the robustness and imperceptibility
of extracted image. One of the vital essential benefits of the proposed idea is the robustness of the system on
extensive set of attacks. Analysis and experimental outcome show a lot accelerated effectiveness of the proposed
method in evaluation with the pure SVD-established watermarking and the procedure without making use of some
wavelet perform. The results are compared with Base Work in which single level DWT-SVD combination is taken
for watermarking for copy right security. It is shown through PSNR (Peak signal-to-noise ratio) that it provided a
very high imperceptibility. Experimental outcome verify that the proposed system given good quality picture value
of watermarked pictures.
