Prepositional Phrases
A prepositional phrase is made up of the preposition, the object of the
preposition, and any words in between.
The preposition will be in red and the prepositional phrase will be underlined.
The object of the prepositional phrase will be in green.
1. He spoke with a soft smile.
2. After the lesson Becky felt good.
3. Mr. Freeman said, “Lean on me.”
4. She held the handle of the case tightly.
5. He nearly knocked the vase off the mantle.
6. Benjy is interested in journalism.
7. Becky was nervous about the lesson.
8. Mr. Freeman relieved some of her fears.
9. Extra practice is good for performers.
10. A solo means you play by yourself.
