Overview:
VICE is the world’s preeminent youth media company and content creation studio. Launched in 1994, VICE
now operates in over 30 countries and distributes its programming to hundreds of millions of viewers across
digital, linear, mobile, film and socials. VICE includes an international network of digital channels, a television
and feature film production studio, a magazine, a record label, an in-house creative services agency, a
book-publishing division and a new 24-hour TV channel, VICELAND, launched in in the UK and Ireland in
September 2016.
The Role:

The Digital editor will work closely with staff, crew and Producer(s) to complete video & media
projects

You will coordinate all aspects of Editing as needed, from project setup to delivery.

You will be primarily using the Adobe Production Suite software but also Final Cut Pro, as well as host
of plugins including Pluraleyes, Digital Anarchy deflicker and Neat Noise Reduction.

Some knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop a requirement

High level of in NLE finishing skills including graphic design & integration, audio sweetening,
color correction and final delivery are required.

Ensuring quality control and consistency on final project, supervising coordinators to see the edit
through is expected.

You must be able to work under pressure with producers, execs and clients in the room to deliver
from fast turnaround projects to long form.

You are able to work independently to weave stories out of given footage but also make creative
decisions regarding the editing of projects based on written scripts or input from producer,
supervisors, and channel execs.

Writing voiceover/commentary; always alongside the edit producer)

Suggesting or selecting music.

Integrating design elements into finished video projects, presentations, web or print materials

Working in the most proactive, creative and professional manner to provide the highest level of
service to our clients and producers

You may be asked to work on location for time sensitive projects.
The ideal candidate will have:

You must have 3+ years offline editing experience.

A mix of experience currents affairs, fast turnarounds, and branded content/music promos
preferable.

Some Media related Studies a plus.

Good understanding of VICE’s output is expected.
