December’14 – Issue 7
Report from Ladies’ Lunch
The event this year was held at No. 29, Royal Exchange Square. We had 36 people in attendance for the
meal, with some others coming in later. All reports suggest that this was a good venue with excellent food
and wine.
Next on the calendar is the Winter Lunch. It will once again take place at the Brisbane House Hotel in Largs
on Sunday 25th January 2015. The cost for a 3 course lunch with coffee will be £20, please let Rita know
and send your money to her before the 19th January. We are hoping that the RSMYC updated history book
will be available at this time.
Winter Activity
This year we have organised a visit onboard the 5 star Hebridean Princess. The event will take place on
Friday 6th March 2015 (around lunchtime, time TBC) in Greenock. Please can you inform Rita or myself if
you plan to go to the event, no later than the 4th March.
Northern Ireland Dinner
The dinner will take place at Royal Ulster Yacht Club, Bangor on Saturday 7th March. This is a black tie
function that the Commodore and Vice Commodore are attending and anyone else who wishes to attend just
let Rita or myself know as all are welcome.
Logs
I would just like to remind you if you intend to enter a log that your entry should be with Rita no later than
31st December 2014. There are three trophies to be won: Turley Cup, Kennedy Trophy and the Manson
Distance Trophy. The criteria for entry is shown in the front pages of the members booklet.
AGM
The AGM will take place at The Chartroom, Inverkip Marina on Thursday 19th March 2015.

May 9th/10th – Rhu Marina
June 13th/14th – Holy Loch
August 7th/8th/9th – Tarbert
September 5th/6th – Rothesay

Ho Ho Ho…Merry Christmas
May I finish this newsletter by wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a good new year! If I don’t see
you over this period I look forward to catching up with you at one of the winter events.
Happy Boating,
Jamie Scott
