We are beginning our
Self-Study Phase for the
renewing of our NAC
Accreditation this year.
We will be talking with
parents about what this
process is and what NAC
Accreditation means for our
center. Keep a look out for
that information!
As a reminder, we do take
the kiddos outside every
day.
Please be
sure your
child is
prepared
with boots, hats, scarf,
mitten/gloves, and a warm
jacket.
We know that the weather
may be a bit of a bummer,
but soon enough we will
have sunshine and warm
temps. Enjoy the winter
activities while you can!
Be well! ~Miss Mona &

Meet Our Teachers
This month’s teacher is Miss Mercedes
of the Goldfish Room! Mercedes has
been with the Downtown Ebenezer
Center for a year and a half now. She
worked at our Southside Center for
about two years before coming
Downtown. She is a “Jill” of all trades
and can work well in any classroom,
with all of the children and teachers.
Here are a few of her favorite things:
Food: Chicken
Hobby: Video Gaming
Book: The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister
Souljah
Candy Bar: Snickers
Animal: Blue Nose Pit Bulls
This month’s Featured Classroom is
the Goldfish Room!
The Goldfish Room would love to welcome our new
teacher, Ms. Aurora and our new additions, Leilani,
Destiny and Brianna!
For the month of January we are going to
continue our snow adventures and art projects. We
will be celebrating the New Year, (YAY!), and
Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
We are looking for donations of plastic soda
bottles so that we can make noise makers & new
sensory bottles for our classroom.
We wish everyone a Happy New Year!
She does not have a favorite holiday,
she likes to celebrate them all.
Mercedes loves to spend time with her
very energetic daughter!
Feel free to stop by the Goldfish Room
anytime to say hi to Miss Mercedes.
Save The Date!! Sunday, January 26th
Join Eby, Ebenezer’s Mascot, (or as the Downtown children call
him, Mr. Heart), at the Milwaukee Admiral’s
Game on Sunday, January 26th! It’s Roscoe’s
Birthday and there will be lots of fun things
happening at the game!
The game starts at 5 pm.
