the products. Most likely, you’ve got some short-term and long-term goals that
you’d like to fulfill. Clarifying these goals, as well as the income required to reach
them, will go a long way toward getting you—and keeping you—on a successful
track. It’s also helpful to share these goals with your enroller, as they have a vested
interest in your success as well. Take a few minutes to set some initial goals, as
well as some income milestones that you’d like to achieve along the way.

However, it will do you no good unless
you have people to share it with. It’s
time to create your initial contact list.
This is critical to your success and is
the easiest way to get your business
off to a fast start.
Create your prospect list
Everyone goes on the list! There’s no need to pre-judge anyone. As a distributor,
your job isn’t to create the need, it’s only to discover the want. While most people
need greater health and wellness, not everyone wants it—at least not right now. Start
by making a list of everyone that you know—friends, family, co-workers, business
contacts, etc. Don’t worry about the order, just aim for about 100 names. If you need
help, download the “memory jogger” from the Resource Center.
Next, prioritize your contacts by placing checkmarks for the following:
People with whom you share a mutual respect
People looking for greater health or income
People that can get started now with a CEO Mega Pak
SUCCESS TIP: As you add names to
your list, make sure that you consider each
person’s “why.” Most people, including you, are
motivated by more than just great products or
income opportunity. Are they looking for greater
health? Greater wealth? Time freedom? Better
relationships? Focus on their reasons why, and
you will see greater success in your business.

Now that your initial contact list is prioritized, it’s time to invite some
people to learn more about what Youngevity has to offer.
Invite others to take a look at Youngevity
Make sure you’re familiar with Youngevity by reading the Youngevity
Revolution and the Are You Next booklets. These will teach you about
Youngevity’s history, product philosophy, income opportunity, and
what makes our company truly unique. Remember, your invitation
revolves around what they want out of life and how Youngevity’s
products, services, and income opportunity can help, not why they
should “buy” something.
SUCCESS TIP: When inviting your contact to learn about
Youngevity, keep it simple, Don’t try to explain things over the phone.
If possible, give them a marketing piece such as The Youngevity
Revolution, The Healthy Body Challenge, or the Are You Next booklets
to introduce them to Youngevity and answer their initial questions.
Don’t expect your contact to understand everything that you do,
so share with them only what is necessary to get them curious and
excited to see if the time is right for them.

Share the story
Don’t attempt to explain the opportunity over the phone; remember, if you
confuse them, you’ll lose them. Get them in front of the business presentation
and let it answer their questions, just like it did for you!
There are many different methods to share the story; choose what’s most
comfortable for you from the “Ways to share” list at right.

Ask them to join
Once the presentation is over, discover their thoughts by asking:
What did you like best about what you saw? Tell me more. (Take notes.)
How would the ability to make a little or a lot more money improve
your life? What would you use the money for?
At your current job, how long would it take you to achieve what you’ve
just shared with me?
What products are you most interested in?
Chances are they had a positive answer to one or all of your questions.
The next step is to ask for their order! You can make the decision
simple by inviting them to take the Healthy Body Challenge and/or
sign up with a CEO Mega Pak.

Sign them up
People won’t join your team unless and until you ask them to! Even when
you’ve focused on their “why” and shown them how to get what they want
through Youngevity, they still need to be encouraged to take the next step. Help
them complete the Distributor application (online, paper, or Youngevity’s 90 For
Life mobile app). Then give them a copy of this booklet and help them get started!

We’re all taught to slow the pace of any purchase for
fear of regretting it later. Most often, objections are just
pleas for more information. Use these simple steps when
addressing objections:

SUCCESS TIP:
It’s important that you
consistently use a limited number of methods
with the people that you invite. New
distributors will, by default, gravitate to
the tools and methods that they are
already familiar with. It is powerful when
everyone on your team is using the same
tools and methods.
Listen carefully so you can fully understand the
objection. Never interrupt or anticipate what they are
going to say.
Repeat the objection to verify that you clearly
understand what they are saying. Appreciate their reasons
for thinking that way. The most sincere objections are
simply questions in disguise or an underlying concern.
Respond to objections as precisely and briefly as
possible. Don’t take objections personally. You’ll soon
recognize common objections that reoccur. Learn one or
two answers for each to be prepared.
If you’re not comfortable with presenting a solution,
contact your enroller or other teammate for
a 3-way call. Quite often a “thirdparty expert” is all that’s
needed to eliminate a
concern or doubt.

Example:
In this scenario, the following averages are
assumed: Volume for each customer and distributor
is 150; 1 out of 10 (10%) of people you contact will
become a customer, and 1 out of 20 (5%) of the
people you contact will become a distributor.*
You’re on your way to building a successful team. Now let’s get you promoted with
a system we call 5 x 5 Marketing. This system is about building relationships. If we
accept the fact that nearly everyone needs improved health or improved wealth, then
you just need to be there when people are ready to act. 5 x 5 marketing is making
5 contacts a day, 5 days a week. It’s simple, but let’s take a closer look at the power
of consistent 5 x 5 marketing in the example below.
If you make 5 new contacts per day, 5 days per week, over a 12-month period,
you will develop 120 new customers and 60 new distributors. That in itself may
not be enough business to change your life, but it would approximate $8,000 in
up-front income, and nearly $2,000 in monthly residual income. Just to put it in
perspective, at an average savings rate of 2%, it would take $1.2 million in the
bank to earn that kind of interest income! However, this is just the beginning.
