Tree Nutri Product Application For Trees with Obstructions (Annual Maintenance) 1. For trees that have obstructions blocking access to a tree’s entire drip line, such as trees that are between sidewalks (as shown in Fig. 2), create as close to a circle as possible around the tree to resemble the drip line. a. For this example, assume that only half of the drip line circle is accessible. Create additional semi-circles both inside and outside of the drip line. Drill holes on these semi-circles and apply the same amount of Tree Nutri, in total, as would have been applied if there weren’t obstructions. 2. After the drip line semi-circle has been identified, use the Tree Nutri™ Hydrojet to “drill” one hole every 1.5-2.0 feet on the circumference of the semi-circle. 3. Each hole should be 8-10 inches deep, with the diameter being roughly 1 inch. 4. Once the holes have been drilled, apply 2 ounces of Tree Nutri to each hole via the Tree Nutri™ Funnel. 5. After filling all holes in the drip line semi-circle, repeat steps 2 through 3 for a semi-circle 1.5 feet outside of the drip line circle. a. Each hole should optimally be offset by about 1.5 feet from the holes in the drip line semi-circle 6. If necessary, create a semi-circle 1.5 feet inside the drip line circle and repeat steps 2 through 3. This semi-circle is not needed if a tree has less than 50 percent of its area obstructed (or no obstructions enabling semi-circles to be used outside of the drip line). The following table shows the number of holes that would need to be drilled for a tree with a drip line 10 feet from the trunk (as illustrated in Fig. 2), with constructed impediments, as part of annual maintenance: Holes Tree Nutri Drip Line Semi-Circle Outside Semi-Circle 15 16 1.875 lbs 2.000 lbs Total 31 3.875 lbs 877.365.TREE (8733) | [email protected] | www.TreeNutri.com
