Nicolet Union School District is an independent high school
district encompassing the North Milwaukee suburbs of Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale and River Hills. The geographic
area = 16 square miles.
MISSION STATEMENT
Transforming knowledge into wisdom, the Nicolet High School
District accelerates the achievement of every student, in every
classroom, every day by promoting intellectual discovery,
inspiring creativity, embracing diversity, and encouraging
students to become enlightened, humane, responsible
citizens.
SCHOOL
Nicolet High School is a four-year public school with an enrollment of approximately 1105 students. In 2015-16 Nicolet
ranked among the highest in Wisconsin with a per-pupil expenditure of $17,298. The school population is representative
of a multicultural student body. Eighty three percent of the
graduates pursue post-secondary education, and college preparatory subjects are strongly emphasized.
FACULTY
Of the 83 certified teaching staff, 86 percent have advanced
degrees. The average student-teacher ratio is 13:1; studentcounselor ratio is 279:1.

SCHOOL RECOGNITION
Nicolet High School was named a “No
Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School” by
the U.S. Dept. of Education in 2008.
Nicolet is the only Wisconsin high school
selected as a partner school for the prestigious John Motley Morehead Scholarship at
the University of North Carolina and the
Robertson Scholarship at Duke University
and the University of North Carolina.
The Nicolet Chapter of the National Honor
Society inducted 64 members in Spring,
2016.
Nicolet is hosting 3 foreign exchange students from Brazil, Spain and Germany in
2016-17.
Nicolet’s World Language Department has
recently sponsored student exchange trips
to France, Spain and Germany.
Seven Nicolet students earned a perfect 36
ACT score since 2012.
Five students in the Class of 2017 qualified
as National Merit Semi-finalists.
Fifteen Nicolet faculty members have received the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship
Awards
Seventeen Nicolet students have received
the Herb Kohl Student Excellence Award
