A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Thank you to everyone who participated in High Five for Supplies, birthday celebrations, donated or was there to support us
in 2016 and for helping us impact 2 million kids by 2022. I am so excited to announce that our South Dakota Chapter has
impacted thousands of kids in their community and is positioned to have a good year. We have an amazing chapter starting up
in Massachusetts that is being led by Simon Eber. We are so excited to welcome Simon and Massachusetts to our team. In our
Minnesota Chapter, Clare Kirchner has served her two-year term as our Kid President in Minnesota and will be moving on to be
our first Alumni President. Clare will still be involved with our Minnesota Chapter, and will help us grow other chapters in her
Alumni role. Maddie Schlehuber joins our Minnesota team as the new Kid President and we are so excited to begin working with
her. I am so excited to have these youth joining me in Kids Celebrating Kids®!

SIMON SAYS GIVE 2016 ANNUAL REPORT
2
Being a part of the Kid Advisory Board this past year has
been an incredible opportunity. I have gained experience in
public speaking, leading meetings, and attended corporate
events. The Kid Advisory Board has volunteered in many of
the Simon Says Give events and has taken part in Students in
Action through the Jefferson Awards Foundation. I would like
to say thank you to everyone that has supported Simon Says
Give in 2016!

A NOTE
FROM NOLAN
I am super proud of all that we
accomplished this year. This was our
first full year in operation and a lot of
things came together that helped us
make a huge impact for kids in South
Dakota. Thank you to the kids, the
adults, the sponsors and volunteers,
and everyone who made it happen! I’m
excited to continue to make an impact
and help reach our goal of helping 2
million kids by 2022.
A NOTE
FROM MADDIE
I am excited to join Simon Says Give
so I can help with projects, like High
Five for Supplies in August. I am also
excited to help plan the first ever Give
Awards, which will honor other kids
who are making a difference! I think
being a part of Simon Says Give and
working on the Kid Advisory Board will
help me develop leadership and other
skills, as well as make a difference
around me.
Maddie Schlehuber
Kid President, SSG Minnesota 2017-18
A NOTE
FROM SIMON
I started Simon Says Give
Massachusetts as part of my
Bar Mitzvah. I wanted to have
a charitable component. Still I
wanted to do more than give
money to a charity and be done
with it. I wanted to be part of the
change. So when my dad told me
about Simon Says Give, I thought
it was a perfect way to do just
that. In 2016, I used the money
I raised to start our chapter and
started making plans for our first
events, getting local support, and
fundraising. We set up our web
and Facebook pages. We even
received our first donations from
people who do not know me. We
used the time as set up so we can
go into 2017 full steam ahead!

Under our Youth Leadership pillar, our chapters select
“passion projects” they want to focus on in their community.
Our South Dakota team supports birthday celebrations and
has chosen Hunger as a passion project! Here are some of the
team’s accomplishments in 2016:
1
C-Suite Gives
2016 Charity of Choice
WE Day MN
Mandi Simon featured speaker with Kid Advisory Boards
from MN and SD on-stage with her
2
US Bank Stadium Open House
Featured non-profit for the Open House Weekend of
the US Bank Stadium
Our South Dakota Kids Advisory Board
Kid Advisory Board Members Jonah, Truman, Nolan and
Ethan planned and led our first Make-a-Meal, Take-a-Meal
program where we taught a group of 10 foster kids how
to make a healthy snack and provided the ingredients for
a second snack they could make for their families.
We planned, promoted and coordinated 2 food drives,
one at an AARP-sponsored Stampede game and our own
event, Kids vs Cops. We had dozens of law enforcement
officers who participated in games and activities with kids
in our community.
3
We planned, promoted and held 2 Dine-to-Donate
fundraisers at DQ and Pizza Rev to help fund our projects.
4
We helped AARP collect school supplies for the Project
SOS School Supply Drive.
5
6
Kid Board Member Jonah spoke publicly for the first time
about Simon Says Give and won the pot at the Sioux Falls
SOUP competition.
Our Kid Board Members Jonah, Cassidy, Nolan, Ethan and
Jared all spoke to media this year and were interviewed
on TV, radio and print to share the good work we are
doing for kids in South Dakota.
7
Our Kid Board members facilitated a Susan B. Anthony
Elementary School birthday supply drive.
8
We shopped, wrapped and delivered food and Christmas
presents to a family in need in Sioux Falls.
Our Sioux Falls, SD team impacts thousands of children in
their community and we are so proud of the progress and
impact they are making!
