This Spring there is something for everyone. There will be 3 authors to meet and
a craft for adults to do. There will be a talk about Grant Wood and a Reader’s
Theater event. Our Children’s Library renovation is nearly done, and we expect
the new workstations for the Public Access Computers to be delivered at the end
of this month. This is also the month of next Book Sale.
This is my third anniversary as your librarian. I am so grateful for your support and
your patience as I learn how to better meet the needs of this community.
Donations towards furnishings for our children’s library continue to come in and
as we receive enough to purchase something we buy another item. All donors will
be acknowledged individually and as a group. Thank you all so much for your kind

I hope you have had a chance to see our transformed Children’s Room; with new paint and fun printed carpet
tiles. The updates have enhanced the room and we will continue to change some items to better serve the public.
Thanks go out to all the wonderful helpers that moved furniture or helped to re-shelve books. It was a huge
undertaking preparing and moving books, but the end results made it all worth the effort.
We continue to have Story Time each Monday at 10:30 am, and we would love to have you and your child or
grandchild stop in the children’s room to join us. We use the Very Ready Reading program for our sessions.
Some new books we have added to our collection include the following: Just One More by Rolli, Shackleton’s
Journey by Grill, Let’s Sign, Baby! by Ault, 5 Minute Marvel Stories, the Newbery Honor Award books- Doll
Bones by Black and El Deafo by Bell. We also added a new copy of the classic story Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang
by Fleming and some more books in the I Survived series.
