• Expiring contract on old email system forced GO LIVE date.
• G3 plan for all 90 users to ensure that all staff were standardized on
the latest version of Office and had a license to do compliance
archiving.
• Migration Path was what LiftOff calls a “Wiz, Bang, Connect” ,
the most popular path that we use today.
• Procurement method for licensing was the Microsoft Government
Portal on the Office 365 website – Government Community Cloud.

• Most county users were on an old POP system that didn’t offer the
functionality staff needed. The Sheriff’s department was using
Gmail, a totally different email environment.
• 940 users getting G3 licenses – like moving from a
Ford Pinto to a Bentley!
• Office 365 licenses were procured off of a State Enterprise
Agreement. Along with AOS-G, this is the only way to have a tenant
provisioned in the Microsoft Government Community Cloud.
• Migration path was Staged (email forwarding), PSTs, and DirSync.
• Moving to a brand new domain – easier!

• Moving to Office 365 from Google Apps for Business. Users were
having trouble navigating Google interface and applications and
wanted the familiarity of Microsoft interface/apps.
• 420 users mostly getting E3 licenses for the ability to get locally
installed Office.
• Other “lightweight” email users getting Kiosk licenses + archive
since they share workstations. (Understand Kiosk limitations!)
• All three Office 365 license SKUs purchased via an Enterprise
Agreement. Licenses can be “mixed and matched.”
• “Wiz, Bang, Connect” migration path (of course).

AOS-G (LiftOff)
• Moving to Office 365 from an old POP/IMAP system that the City
had outgrown.
• Relatively small! Only 45 users in the City including PD.
• All users getting G1 licenses + compliance archive licenses
purchased on LiftOff’s AOS-G program.
• Client looking to leverage Skype for Business, SharePoint, and
OneDrive as part of the G1 license.
• Migration path was Staged with email forwarding using PSTs
• Cloud only tenant! Directory Sync was NOT desired.
Cool, right?
