INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Gas Plasma Display setup guide. This document contains
information necessary to configure a new Gas plasma display for use as VDT display
device.
In this document you will find the following:
 Out of Box inspection guide
 Set up and testing for out of box test

 Menu Settings guide for Panasonic Displays
 Menu Settings guide for NEC Displays
 Packing and Shipping components
OUT OF BOX INSPECTION GUIDE
Check over the outside of each box and make note of any damage that may have
occurred during shipping. Report any damage to the Warehouse immediately!
Open the box containing the Display. Note the boxes will need to be reused for
shipping the display so keep all packaging material.
Check each box for the following accessories.

Batteries (AAA Battery X 2)
AC Power cord

SETUP AND TESTING FOR OUT OF BOX TEST
To perform an OBT on the display a video feed from a VDT running Web Show will
be required for correct image adjustment. Connect a COAX video feed from the
VDT into the Video Input of the display (BCLC –HD15-02 VDT Video cable).
Connect the supplied AC power cable and power the unit on. Use the provided
diagram to locate the connections on each display.

MENU SETTINGS GUIDE FOR PANASONIC DISPLAYS
Power up the Panasonic display, using the remote control or the menu buttons on the
front of the display adjust the settings as outlined in the following spread-sheet. For
more information about this model please read the Panasonic Operating Instructions
PDF.

MENU SETTINGS GUIDE FOR NEC DISPLAYS
Power up the NEC display, using the remote control or the menu buttons on the front
of the display adjust the settings as outlined in the following spread-sheet. For more
information about this model please read the NEC Operating Instructions PDF.
Note: Part of the setup includes locking out the menu buttons on this display. Only
the remote control can be used to access the setup menu after the initial setting have
been saved.

PACKING AND SHIPPING COMPONENTS
Once the display has been setup and tested. Repackage the unit in the original
shipping container. Print off a copy off a copy of the Plasma Installation Guide
PDF from Outback. The shipping container should contain the following list of
supplies.



Assign and attach an Asset tag to the lower right side of the display
FSA adaptor plate, matching the model of Plasma to the wall or ceiling mount being shipped.
It is not necessary to send the remote controls with either display.
