Aim: The students need to read the sentence and decide which synonym would fit best for ‘said’.
Use another word for ‘said’ or ‘say’ in these sentences.
Write the new word on top!
1. The life guard said to the swimmers, “There’s a shark in the water! Get out now!”.
2. The little girls were saying secrets to each other.
3. The scientist said, “My experiment worked at last!”
4. The young boy said, “Oh why do I always have to tidy my room? Why can’t you
do it for me?”
