This volunteer group, with the support of local businesses and families, raises money to keep participation fees low and improve the baseball experience for everyone. The following are some examples of what RYBA has funded in recent years: player development clinics including pre‐season player clinics and the position focused pitcher/catcher clinic (Spring 2015) Roswell Youth Coaches’ clinic for the Fall and Spring seasons Rookie Clinics for 9&10 Recreation players practice t‐shirts for each Recreation and Select team umpire costs for all mid‐season Recreation baseball tournaments one hour of free batting cage time to be used by all Recreation, Select, and Travel teams field improvements including re‐surfacing of infields, widening of dugouts and bullpens, artificial game and bullpen mounds, protective screens, on‐deck circles, fence toppers, soft‐toss nets, dugout covers, cage mats and tarps, bat racks, dugout organizers, helmet shelves and many other enhancements. re‐surfacing of Sweetapple Elementary, RAP #1 and Hembree Park #5 infields new scoreboard at RAP#4 baseball field 15 new sets of catcher’s equipment for Spring 2015 season 2 Roswell umpires to attend the Southern Umpire Camp annually on‐site, umpire supervision program financial support of 12U travel baseball teams to attend the Cooperstown, New York Tournament host and organize the “Roswell Day at the Braves” family celebration scholarships for participants that can’t afford registration fees additional umpires for the Semi‐final and Championship World Series Tournament games drying agents for seven fields, thus minimizing game and practice cancellations donation to Employee Appreciation lunch hosted by Roswell Recreation Commission new flag pole and water fountains at Hembree Park RYBA car magnets for each family 8 batting cages including all fields at Hembree Park as well as RAP # 3 & 4 500+ new batting helmets New baseball bats for Recreational leagues 54 protective screens which encompassed every baseball field initial order of belted baseball pants participation in Youth Day parade Thanks for your support!
