Getting the Most from your Magic Calendar
Welcome to your personal Magic Calendar. Read the information here carefully and you will be able to
get more out of it and be able to use it for planning and fun. If you want to know more about where this
information came from, see the section in the back of this document called More about the Destiny
Cards System. For now, read these sections below to know exactly what information is offered and how
to take advantage of it.
The information in this calendar all is generated from the Destiny Cards system, explained in great detail
in Destiny Cards by Robert Camp, available in most major bookstores. However the instructions herein
will give you enough to utilize this calendar for your own personal and professional use.
What the cards on your calendar represent
There are many cards illustrated on your monthly calendars. Some influence one day while others
influence an entire year. Knowing the scope of each card you see illustrated will help you know how to
interpret their influences better. The Legend included with the calendar illustrates these cards and their
scope. We will go over them one at a time to be certain that you understand them.
1. The Personal Daily Cards - are those found in each day cell of the calendar to the right of the
day number of the month. These cards influence only one day at a time.
2. The Natural Day Cards - are those found just under the Personal Daily Cards. These are the
natural card rulers for each day of the year. Your Birth Card, for example, is the natural card
ruler for the day of the year you were born. See the Birth Card Chart at the end of this
document.
3. The Week-long Influence Cards - will be found in your Mercury day of each week. The
Mercury day is the same day of the week you were born and will have a Mercury symbol (S)
denoting it. In the day cells of your personal Mercury day each week will be five cards that
govern the entire week beginning on that day. Each of these five cards denotes a particular
aspect of the week ahead. We will explain each of their meanings separately in just a bit.
4. The Year-long Influence Cards - are found to the left of the main calendar under the title
giving your current age, such as Age 42 = Year of 12/18/97 - 12/18/98. These five cards,
much like the Week-long influence cards each have a specific function, but they all influence
an entire year of your life, from one birthday to the next. If the calendar you are looking at
happens to be your birthday month, you will see both the Year-Long influence cards for the
past year and the new year listed there.
5. The Planetary Period Cards - are found to the left of the main calendar, just below the Yearlong influence cards. These are the cards that influence a 52-day period of the year. Beginning
on your birthday with the Mercury Period, there are seven planetary periods, which we will
discuss more about later. Just note which cards each month are in effect for the current period
of 52 days, when that period begins and ends. If you enter a new period during the current
month, there will be Planetary Period cards for both months listed.
The Influence of the Planets on the Daily and Planetary Period Cards
Both the Personal Daily cards and the Planetary Period Cards are influenced by planetary energies. If you
understand the influence of these planets, you will be able to derive more specific interpretations of these
cards.
1. Mercury - is the first period of the year and the first of your week. You were born on your
Mercury day of the week and in the Mercury period of the first year of your life. During a
Mercury day or a Mercury period you will find a lot of communications occurring. There will
probably be some need for short trips in your car or bicycle and things will occur quickly and
sometimes unexpectedly. Things of great significance usually do not occur in Mercury. Even
difficult cards such as the 7♠ will not have a significant influence. Things in Mercury are
usually short-lived and have less impact than cards in other periods.
2. Venus is the period of the week and year that our interests turn more to home, family, personal
beautification and friendships. Love interests are also highlighted by Venus, but only when
love-oriented cards are found there, such as the 2♥ or A♥. Generally cards you have under a
Venus influence will be telling you about things that are occurring in your home or with your
closest friends and family. Your Venus cards will also tell you, in general, how you will get
along with women during that period of time, whether it be a day, week or year.
3. Mars gives an aggressive and passionate influence to any cards it governs. During our Mars
periods we usually feel more passionate and aggressive so this is a good time to do physical
things or to become more motivated towards your goals. If you have challenging cards under a
Mars influence, such as a Seven or Nine, it is wise to curtail aggressive and competitive
activities since these will probably end up causing you lots of problems. Good cards in Mars
can bring success in sports, legal matters and other competitive enterprises. Your Mars cards
can also tell you how you will get along with men, in general, for that specified time period.
4. Jupiter - is primarily a beneficial influence but usually geared towards financial enterprises.
Your Jupiter period cards for the year, for example, can tell you how to make the most money
that year or where you financial resources will come from the easiest. Jupiter's beneficial
influence tends to bring out the best in all cards. Even the most difficult cards usually have a
good outcome in Jupiter. Your Jupiter day of the week can be one of the best for income.
5. Saturn - is usually the most challenging period, whether that be of the week or of the year.
However, Saturn days go by quickly and usually do not have a great impact on us like the
Saturn, 52-day period does. During the Saturn period of the year we have the greatest
likelihood of illness or stress and we usually have to work harder for what we get from our life
and occupation. The Saturn day each week is also likely to be challenging in some ways.
Saturn is the teacher and it is through adversity that we learn some of the most important
lessons in life. Saturn governs health, doctors, bones, teeth and negative karma of all kinds. Be
especially careful when you have any Six in Saturn as this equates to a double karma
influence, as Sixes also have a karma influence of their own.
6. Uranus - During a Uranus day or 52-day period things tend to happen unexpectedly that can
rock our boat so to speak and shake up our preconceived notions about things. We are more
inclined towards group activities under Uranus and often find ourselves among others of like
mind or beliefs, such as a church or other large organization. Uranus also governs relationships
with co-workers and real estate matters. A Five in Uranus, for example, can mean the sale of
some property or the move to a new home.
7. Neptune - is the best period to take a vacation and the best day to go and see a movie. It is not
a good time to make important decisions in any area. Take a break from your life during
Neptune and allow yourself to dream and let go. Our Neptune card(s) often tell us what or who
we are thinking about, wishing for, or afraid of, secretly.
The Week-long and Year-long Influence Cards and their Specific Functions
Each year and week have a group of five cards that govern the entire period in question. But each of these
five has a specific function which will change its meaning. Here are their specific functions.
1. The Long Range Card (LR) - The Long Range Card for any given year or week is a card that
represents what a major focus of your attention will be for that time period. In itself it is
neither positive or negative, but it is always important. This card can be the Birth Card of
someone you know (see the Birth Card lookup chart) or some experience that will be a
prevailing issue during that time period.
2. The Pluto Card (Plu) - The Pluto Card represents those energies that will transform us for the
week or year. It can be a goal that we are seeking, a person we are having to deal with on some
level or a personal issue that we are working on and wanting to see some progress on. To deal
with the Pluto Card effectively requires that we make some internal changes, and never that
our external environment or others have to change. This is an important point as our Pluto
Card often makes us feel rebellious towards others and makes us want to blame them for our
inadequacies.
3. The Result Card (Res) - The Result Card serves two functions. First it combines with the
Pluto Card to describe that which will transform us during the period in question. Second it
symbolized a reward that we will gain at the end of that period, whether that is a year or a
week. For example, let's say you have a 4♥ Pluto card and a 5♥ Result. This could mean a
desire (Pluto) for a satisfactory living situation (4♥) that results in a change of residence (5♥).
4. The Environment Card (Env) - This card is always interpreted as a beneficial and helpful
influence. It tells you what is coming easily during the specified time period or what is
protecting you. See it like an umbrella influence that is providing support and protection. It is
always interpreted on the high side. A 7♦ Environment, for example, would indicate that your
ability to be carefree and unconcerned about your finances causes prosperity to be attracted to
you.
5. The Displacement Card (Dis) - This card is in some ways the opposite of the Environment
Card in that it represents an area of life that you must constantly put energy into in order to
achieve satisfactory results. It can be a problem area of sorts. But the trick here is to just accept
it and do what must be done to satisfy its requirements of you. Usually you must give
something to that issue or person in order to meet these requirements. For example, a Q♥
Displacement Card could mean that you must spend more time with your spouse in order to
get that relationship on track.
How to Interpret the Cards on your Calendar
Some general rules:Usually you can consider a face card (Jack, Queen, or King) to be the card of a person. A Jack will be a
younger male while a King will usually be an older male or one that is in a position of authority. That
person's Birth Card will invariably be the same suit as the face card you see. You can look up people you
know and find out what their Birth Card is using the Birth Card Chart at the end of this instruction
manual. Look at the planetary position or function of their card to determine what their role may be in
your life at that time.
If you have the Destiny Cards Book:
The Destiny Cards book has more complete interpretations for every card in every possible position. If
you have that book, you could get a more complete meaning to all the cards in your calendar there.
Included in this instruction manual for your personal calendar are a set of general interpretations for each
card in the deck. In order to derive a complete interpretation of any particular card you will have to
combine these basic interpretations with either the planetary influence of that card's position or of the
specific function of that card (if it is one of the Week-long or Year-long cards). Lets go over a few
examples to illustrate how this is done:
A♦ in a Jupiter period or day - The A♦ is a new business venture, like the start of a new job or a new
enterprise for making money. Jupiter adds a lot to the chances of this being a successful job or venture,
practically guaranteeing its success.
7♠ in Saturn - This will probably indicate a health challenge, but one that can be overcome. Take good
care of yourself if you have this sort of influence present.
J♦ in Venus - a young man, probably of the Diamonds suit, whom you are either friends with or
romantically attracted to.
4♦ Environment Card - Your finances are protected during this period by a clarity in your values - you
know what you want and what is important to you now.
5♣ Displacement Card - You are feeling restless and somewhat dissatisfied with things in your life and
are seeking new ideas and experiences.
9♦ in Mercury - A minor auto accident that costs a little money to fix. The unexpected end of a plan you
had to make some money.
3♥ in Venus - You are undecided between two love interests or close friends.
7♦ Long Range - During this period you will be dealing with your value system and learning how to
come to a higher place with regards money and finances, perhaps facing some of your attitudes and
beliefs that have held you back financially to date.
10♥ in Jupiter - Financial success comes through getting your word out to the public, hosting large events
or gatherings of people.
3♦ in Neptune - A vague uncertainty is hounding you in regards your finances, causing you some worry
and apprehension.
4♥ Result - You end this week or year in a satisfactory and settled relationship, perhaps even married.
6♥ in Saturn - You have a fated relationship that shows you the results of your own past actions and helps
you to mature in your approach to love and relationships.
5♠ in Uranus - A move to a new residence or job.
2♥ in Neptune - you are dreaming of a perfect romantic partner and perhaps you meet one while on
vacation.

The Meanings of the Cards
The Basic Meaning of the Ace of Hearts
The Ace of Hearts represents a desire for affection or love that is the stimulus that causes new
relationships to be created. For this reason, it can indicate a new love affair or the birth of a child. Though
influenced by each planetary period in a specific and unique way, this creative love energy always
represents an awakening of love or passion in one's heart.
On a deeper level, the Ace of Hearts, being the very first card in the deck, represents a search for
something inside of our self. Perhaps it is the search for self-identity or for those things that help us to
love who we are unconditionally. In order to love ourselves, we often find someone to love who reflects
back to us what we are seeking within. This is why the Ace of Hearts can represent a new relationship
beginning.
The Basic Meaning of the Two of Hearts
The Two of Hearts literally means a 'union of hearts'. This card speaks of your close relationships,
including lovers, married partners, or closest friends. For someone desiring a relationship this could be the
best possible card to have since it is one of the strongest love affair cards. It can also mean time spent with
dear friends or family members.
Even the birth of child can show up as a Two of Hearts since the pairing of a mother or father with
a baby can be much like a love affair. Whenever the Two of Hearts appears, you can be certain that you
will be spending some time with someone you love.
The Basic Meaning of the Three of Hearts
The Three of Hearts signifies creativity or indecision in affection that can manifest in different
ways. This could indicate having two or more love interests at the same time or simply that we are unsure
of where to place our affections. This indecision can lead to either more fun or worry and fear, depending
upon how we handle it. This card's influence usually occurs at a time when we are wanting to learn about
love through experimentation and variety. Its presence usually means that we will not be making any hard
and fast relationship commitments until later.
On a positive note, the Three of Hearts is a card of self-expression and its presence can indicate
that we are talking more, expressing our feelings, and meeting new people.
The Basic Meaning of the Four of Hearts
The Four of Hearts is a sign of protection in love, marriage and family. It represents one's
marriage and the foundation of love upon which a family and life can be built. The Four of Hearts is
usually considered a good influence, especially for a happy family and social life. You may even turn
down offers of love at those times when you are feeling so fulfilled in the areas of friendship and
romance. If you are single, the Four of Hearts as the Result or Venus Card is a strong indicator of
marriage.
The Four of Hearts can also speak about your home and family and things going on in these areas.
It represents, at its most basic level, the foundation of love upon which all of our other relationships are
built. It is the home of the heart.
The Basic Meaning of the Five of Hearts
The Five of Hearts speaks of changes and restlessness in your heart which can manifest in many
ways. At the deepest level, you will probably be feeling a dissatisfaction with your current relationship or
home situation and desire some sort of change.
When this card appears there is always the chance of a separation or divorce with someone you
love, but there is an equal possibility that you will be taking a trip or moving to a new home. The highest
manifestation of this card is that of going out and meeting new people, telling others about what you are
doing and who you are. You can make important contacts when this card is around. The Five of Hearts
can also mean a change in your residence.
The Basic Meaning of the Six of Hearts
The Six of Hearts is a powerful influence of balance and peace in personal relationships. How it
affects you will largely depend upon your current status in your love life and how responsible you have
been in that area. This card will demand that all outstanding love debts be settled and will encourage you
to take responsibility for your actions and words in your closest relationships. You may find that you have
to make compromises and adjustments to accomplish this as well.
On a more universal level, the Six of Hearts may also reveal to you a special purpose in your life,
one of helping others by sharing love with them. You may become aware of a special mission that you are
to perform when this card appears. It is the card of peace and of intuitively knowing how to love others in
a spiritual sense.
The Basic Meaning of the Seven of Hearts
The Seven of Hearts indicates that whatever time this card appears could be marked by many
challenges in love and feelings in your close relationships. The Seven of Hearts can manifest as betrayal
by those we love. In any case, we will be tested to see just how attached we are to others being a certain
way.
Seven, being a highly spiritual number, promises success in love if you try a new approach and
adopt a more selfless or unattached attitude. If we can allow others to be who they are and not place so
many demands upon them, we not only become more aware of their true personalities, but also we allow
ourselves the freedom to be just who we are and experience just how it feels to be free of fear and
attachment. Many high spiritual experiences have occurred while a seven was present.
The Basic Meaning of the Eight of Hearts
The Eight of Hearts is a card of considerable emotional power, charm and personal magnetism.
This power could be used to bring you success in any activities that deal with groups of people such as
acting or sales work. It is also an indicator of having healing energy, a 'spiritual force' gathering in you, a
force you can use to better your life in many ways. When this card is present, this power is available to
use at your discretion.
The Eight of Hearts will give you the power to get your way with people, both personally and
professionally. It can bring you more social fun, better intimate relationships or more success in your
business. People who have this card usually experience great success romantically and socially.
The Basic Meaning of the Nine of Hearts
The Nine of Hearts can be a card of emotional disappointment and personal losses on the
affectional level. However, this is the card of completions in love and of 'Universal Love'. Yes, the Nine
of Hearts can signal the ending of one or more key relationships. If so, it is most likely that these
relationships are no longer doing you any good. It is time for them to end, whether or not you realize this
at the time they happen.
However, the Nine of Hearts can also represent our helping others by counseling them or in some
way sharing our love and compassion with them. It means a giving of love in a more or less selfless
manner.
The Basic Meaning of the Ten of Hearts
The Ten of Hearts literally means 'Ten Hearts'. Hearts represent people, so this card speaks about
activities involving large numbers of people that you have a love connection with. It is sort of like the Ten
of Clubs but it will deal more with family, circles of friends, or with the audiences of musicians, artists
and other performers. In its highest manifestation, the Ten of Hearts brings much success with the public
and groups of people.
To get the most out of this card, plan your advertising and promotional campaign when it is
present. At the very least, this card represents a social occasion such as a party where you are well
received and have a wonderful time. It can also represent a marriage or other large family gathering.
The Basic Meaning of the Jack of Hearts
The Jack of Hearts is known as the 'Christ Card', or the 'Card of Spiritual Sacrifice'. Whenever it is
present, you will feel and be encouraged to elevate your thinking, speaking and acting to a higher level.
You may also decide to make some sort of personal sacrifice when this influence is present. This would
likely be for the sake of someone younger than yourself though it can take other forms. The period
position will delineate the exact nature of the sacrifice you feel impelled to make.
In any case, this card does bring a strong dose of higher, spiritual love into our lives and will
encourage us to do things from a higher motive than usual.
The Basic Meaning of the Queen of Hearts
The Queen of Hearts is a card with many significant meanings. On one hand it represents 'the
devoted mother', and thus can indicate a time when a woman conceives or gives birth to a child. It also
can be the indicator of marriage for a man or woman, especially as the Venus, Long Range or Result
Card.
It is also the card of sexual enjoyment and romantic fantasy. You can bet that when it appears, one
or more of these qualities will be present in your life. It is the card of 'getting laid'.
The only negative manifestation of the Queen of Hearts may be a tendency towards laziness,
fantasizing, or self indulgence. It could cause someone to put on some weight or overdo it sexually or
otherwise.
The Basic Meaning of the King of Hearts
The King of Hearts, being the highest card in the suit of love, rules through love, compassion and
wisdom. He has all the power and knowledge of love and knows how to use it, thus when this card
appears, it gives you the opportunity to have more control over your feelings and romantic impulses. This
will bring more success in all your personal relationships.
For men, this is also the card of the loving father and of sexual enjoyment. Thus, it can indicate
the conception or birth of a child.
For ladies, the King of Hearts represents the perfect lover or companion and so it often indicates
having an enjoyable sexual relationship or in some cases, marriage.
But for all of us, the King of Hearts brings success in dealing with our own emotions, success with
the public and in any of the artistic fields and romantic success in one form or another.
The Basic Meaning of the Ace of Clubs
The Ace of Clubs means a strong desire for knowledge of some kind or the birth of a new idea,
plan, or way of communicating with the world around you. This could also mean a desire for some
specific information, for an education, or to pursue some new plans you make.
The Ace of Clubs always means a new beginning of some sort. This could be a new job idea or
just embarking on a new way of thinking and communicating with others. The exact nature of the
beginning will depend on the position of the card and the circumstances in your life at the time, but in
general, this is a good time to plan to start something new.
The Basic Meaning of the Two of Clubs
The Two of Clubs means conversation, communication, sharing ideas and cooperation on a
communication level. However, it is also known as the card of fear and arguing. When it is present you
may feel compelled to talk to others and to establish lines of communication.
Look deeper into yourself and you may discover an inner conflict between your desire to be alone
and to be with others. Talking to others may shed more light on who you are. Just make sure that you are
being honest with yourself.
The Basic Meaning of the Three of Clubs
The Three of Clubs is the card of mental creativity, so much so that it is called the 'Writer's Card'.
On the other hand, it can be the card of worry and indecision and mental stress. Whenever this card
appears in your reading, you will have an opportunity to either get the benefits of heightened creativity of
mind, or suffer the liability of more stress and indecision.
Use this influence for writing, either personally or professionally. Express yourself to all you meet
and you will reap positive rewards.
The Basic Meaning of the Four of Clubs
The Four of Clubs is the card of mental satisfaction and stability. Whenever this card appears, you
can bet that you will experience some mental peace for a while. Any sort of mental occupation you may
be involved in will benefit from this stabilizing and practical influence.
This is a good time to make plans for the future since you are thinking clearer than ever. This card
brings organizational ability and the ability to achieve a solid foundation of knowledge about a particular
subject. Just watch out for a tendency towards fixed mental attitudes that might alienate you from others.
The Basic Meaning of the Five of Clubs
'Change of mind and plans' is the basic meaning of the Five of Clubs. However, any five can mean
change in residence or travel opportunities. Five of Clubs can also mean a restlessness that brings up a
desire to explore new realms, at least on the mental level.
Whenever this card appears, it may be a signal for a change in your life. You will likely feel a
dissatisfaction with things as they are and want to progress into new areas. Be open to new plans, new
ideas, new places to go, etc. The only negative side of this card is an unwillingness to commit one's self to
any particular belief or philosophy.
The Basic Meaning of the Six of Clubs
The Six of Clubs is THE card of intuition. Its presence in your cards can indicate a time when
your intuition will be stronger than usual. It is also the card of responsibility in speech and
communications and of making compromises to maintain a peaceful surrounding. When this card shows
up, situations will arise that promote bringing your life into balance and stability. Whatever is out of
balance will have to be adjusted so there may be karmic debts to pay.
On a more universal level, the presence of the Six of Clubs can indicate a time when we can
become aware of a special purpose in our life, something to do with sharing higher knowledge with
others. It has also been called the 'John the Baptist Card' and the 'Way-Shower's Card'. Thus it can be a
harbinger of an important mission for you, one which will lead you to a higher purpose and lifestyle in the
spiritual sense.
The Basic Meaning of the Seven of Clubs
When the Seven of Clubs is present you will either be exposed to spiritual knowledge, which is
knowledge that leads one back to the self, or you will be challenged to let go of mental attitudes and
beliefs that are keeping you trapped on lower levels of thought. The lowest side of this card is negative
thinking. The highest side is mental and spiritual revelation, expanded consciousness. How it manifests
for you will depend upon your ability to elevate your thinking.
The Basic Meaning of the Eight of Clubs
The Eight of Clubs is the card of mental power, the ability to focus one's mind on a goal or
objective and see it through to a successful conclusion. This power is usually applied to some mental or
educational task. It bestows the power to overcome all problems by focusing one's thoughts and it usually
occurs when there is something that we need to learn or accomplish on the mental level.
The Eight of Clubs is one of the three, 'fixed' cards. When it appears, we have the opportunity to
fix our mind on certain goals and objectives. It is the card of focus of the mind. Out of that focus and
concentration, success is assured.
The Basic Meaning of the Nine of Clubs
The Nine of Clubs literally means 'completion of plans or ideas'. When this card appears it will
signal a time when some ideas, ways of thinking or communicating, or some personal plans of yours are
ready to end. If you choose to resist this ending, you will experience great disappointment, stubbornly
holding on to things, ideas or plans that are no longer useful or helpful to you. If it seems that things are
going against you when this card is present, it is probably because you are resisting letting go of
something, that in reality, is no longer doing you any good.
On the positive side, you are ready to awaken to a new and higher way of thinking that will be
better than you have imagined. The Nine of Clubs has been known to signal a time when powerful
spiritual experiences may occur, such as universal consciousness, and also indicates the success of any
endeavors that involve spreading higher truths to the world.
The Basic Meaning of the Ten of Clubs
The Ten of Clubs usually brings measurable success in one of the mind-related fields or endeavors.
This could be publishing or teaching or other areas where large groups are benefiting from your talents
and mental brilliance. Recognition for your talents and efforts are common when this card is present.
Essentially, the Ten of Clubs is the card of the 'teacher'. It means spreading knowledge or information
to large groups of people. This is a great card for those in the publishing, radio or television businesses
where much information is being distributed to large numbers.
The Basic Meaning of the Jack of Clubs
The Jack of Clubs tells us that you will be dealing with some very creative and youthful energies.
This is one of the most mentally creative cards in the deck and as such bestows a certain amount of
success. This would apply especially to those involved in mental or communications-related occupations.
Of course, the Jack of Clubs is also the Personality Card for all males of the Clubs suit so this card
could represent any Clubs male that you know playing a specific role in your life. In this regard, however,
it is important to note that this would be that male operating out of the Jack side of his personality. The
Jack of any suit is always romantic, creative, persuasive, and youthful, but also can be irresponsible,
crafty or downright dishonest. In this regard, the Jack of Clubs is no exception.
The Basic Meaning of the Queen of Clubs
The Queen of Clubs is a card of great intuition, good organizational ability and the desire to serve
and nurture others with some form of knowledge or information. Like the King of Clubs, she has much
authority and power. But her power comes more from the receptive side of her nature. She knows things
before they happen and operates on a high mental vibration. She can be high strung and impatient.
When you get this card in your reading, it can bring success in any of the communications fields.
It can help make you more receptive to your intuition and make you feel like serving others more. It is a
successful card, much like the Eight or Ten of Clubs, but also present is the nurturing quality of the
mother.
Of course the Queen of Clubs also is the Personality Card for all women of the Clubs suit and so
this card can also represent your involvement with one of your female Club friends or associates.
The Basic Meaning of the King of Clubs
The King of Clubs is the highest card in the suit of knowledge. It bestows mastery and success in
any of the communications fields, but especially in situations where we are able and willing to take a
leadership position or assume responsibility. Remember that every King has a kingdom. If you are
involved in one of the communications related fields and are willing to stand up and take charge, there is
no better card to indicate your success.
The King of Clubs is highly intuitive, can make fine mental distinctions, and will never do
anything to compromise his or her integrity or inner truth. Keep these qualities in mind whenever this
powerful card appears in your reading.
The Basic Meaning of the Ace of Diamonds
The Ace of Diamonds means the desire for money or the birth of a new way of earning money. All
Aces represent new beginnings, a desire for something that starts a new cycle of creating. Aces are the
representatives of pure creative energy.
Diamonds represent our value systems, the things that we like or dislike, treasure or discard. So,
the Ace of Diamonds means that we experience the birth of a new value or that we suddenly like or want
something that we didn't before.
Because diamonds are commonly associated with money and our work, the Ace of Diamonds can
mean the beginning of a new financial enterprise or the desire to obtain money for a specific purpose.
The Basic Meaning of the Two of Diamonds
The Two of Diamonds signifies that a money partnership of some kind will be playing a role in
your life. This could be a standard business partnership or something out of the ordinary, but it will
certainly have something related to money as the end result.
Whether this 'joining of financial interests' becomes an asset or a liability depends largely upon the
surrounding circumstances and the position of this card.
We often need the association of others in order to achieve our financial goals. The Two of
Diamonds will encourage us to develop relationships that are mutually beneficial between ourselves and
others in our business and financial life. The most success comes with this card when we adopt a WinWin attitude towards all our business dealings.
The Basic Meaning of the Three of Diamonds
The Three of Diamonds signifies that indecision or worry about some money matter may be a
large part of your experience when this card is present. This card has such a strong creative energy
associated with it that if we don't find some productive, creative outlet for its energies, we will inevitably
feel afraid and indecisive. The key is to find ways to express ourselves when this card shows up.
It could also mean getting two opportunities for work at one time or having to split our time
between two projects or money-making deals. Often variety can be a blessing allowing us to explore other
areas. Usually, however, lack of focus brings lack of achievement or lack of detail in one project or the
other. Knowing this may help you avoid wasting this invaluable creative force.
The Basic Meaning of the Four of Diamonds
The Four of Diamonds means a solid sense of values that attracts enough money to meet our
security needs and then some. When we know exactly what it is we want, we tend to attract those things
to us more quickly. Thus, when this card shows up, it usually means that we have gotten clear about what
we want and then we get it. Satisfaction and prosperity are indicated here and you may have a good
foundation upon which you can begin building a financial future. Managing your resources could come
into focus in a greater way when this card is present and this card can give you the ability to handle
financial matters with a clear mind.
The Basic Meaning of the Five of Diamonds
The Five of Diamonds indicates a change in your financial condition, up or down, money coming
in or going out. This card can also indicate changes within your present business such as changing
locations or the way in which you do business. Another possible manifestation of this card would be
taking one or more business trips.
At its deepest level, the Five of Diamonds signals a time when you will undergo a change in
values. If our values, or what we really want from life, changes, it is likely that many other changes will
occur at the same time. We could move to a new location, get a new job or even change relationships. In
other words, all things valued are susceptible to a big change when this card appears, especially if it
appears as the Long Range, Pluto or Result Card.
The Basic Meaning of the Six of Diamonds
Whenever this powerful stabilizing influence is present in your cards you can bet there will be
some sort of settling of accounts. Though this usually takes the form of financial debts being paid or
repaid, it can manifest in payments of other forms of 'value'. The Six of Diamonds will also encourage
you to make compromises where money is concerned and to take full responsibility for all your debts and
actions that involve exchange of value.
The Basic Meaning of the Seven of Diamonds
The Seven of Diamonds is one of the spiritual money cards. When it appears we are always
confronted with how attached we are to our money and given an opportunity to experience the real
prosperity that comes with an attitude of gratitude.
Whether it is about money, plans to make money, or love, situations will present themselves that
test our faith in the abundance of the universe. By realizing and then releasing our fears, we can transform
our attachment into total fearlessness and personal freedom.
The Basic Meaning of the Eight of Diamonds
The Eight of Diamonds tells you that you will have a considerable amount of financial power. The
power to make money is yours and this is power that you probably want to use for some special purpose.
Financial power can come from many avenues. You could earn the money or you could borrow the
money but one thing is for sure. In order to have this financial power, you will have to get very clear on
how much money you want and what the purpose of having that money will be. You see, the Eight of
Diamonds means focusing and concentrating our VALUES, and making choices about what is most
important in our life and what is not. Through this kind of focus, money is always attracted to us in the
amounts we need.
The Basic Meaning of the Nine of Diamonds
The Nine of Diamonds is often associated with financial losses of one kind or another but its true
meaning is that of a completion in regards to some values that we have been holding. For this reason, it
could be an indicator of the ending of a certain kind of work that you have been doing for a long time, or
the ending of a certain pursuit. This could be the pursuit of some financial goal, some relationship, or
some other 'thing' that is valued.
When money does seem to be lost under the Nine of Diamonds, keep in mind that this is just the
preparation for a new cycle of incoming money. Sometimes we need to spend some money to stimulate
more to come in.
The Basic Meaning of the Ten of Diamonds
The Ten of Diamonds is a card of financial success and is considered to be the best money card to
have in your yearly spread. Success in dealing with groups of people in some financial way is also
indicated. This is also a wish-fulfilling card and if found in a powerful position, such as Long Range or
Jupiter, can bring many rewards of various kinds.
Essentially the Ten of Diamonds means a large sum of money and infatuation or obsession with
money. It doesn't always mean that you will receive large sums of money. Sometimes it can merely mean
a preoccupation with finances. However, when the Ten of Diamonds falls in Jupiter or as the year's Result
Card, the chances are much greater that a huge financial gain is forthcoming.
The Basic Meaning of the Jack of Diamonds
The Jack of Diamonds is usually representing a younger, business-minded man who is creative.
Often they are salesmen or promoters of some product or idea and always are involved in the world of
business or finance. Either a person of this description will play a major role in your life when this card is
present or you will be manifesting these qualities yourself.
For this reason, the Jack of Diamonds is considered to be a card of great financial success,
especially success through promoting or selling, or otherwise being very creative in your business.
On the other hand, if you know some man who is a Diamond Birth Card, this Jack could mean that
he will be playing either a romantic, creative, or dishonest role in your life at the time this Jack appears.
The Basic Meaning of the Queen of Diamonds
The Queen of Diamonds represents a woman who likes to live and act extravagantly and who
often spends beyond her means. Sometimes she is successfully engaged in her own business or in some
business capacity. Service through money is her motto and she often is generous, especially to those she
loves.
There may be such a woman (or man) in your life when this card is present or you could find
yourself playing out that role.
This card can bring much financial success if its creative aspect is applied in some business or
financial pursuit that you may be involved in. The Queen of Diamonds is a masterful card when it comes
to business and finance, especially promoting and marketing.
By the same token, watch out for a tendency to spend beyond your budget when this card appears.
The Queen of Diamonds likes only the very best of everything, even if she cannot afford it.
The Basic Meaning of the King of Diamonds
The King of Diamonds can often represent a successful businessman, one who runs his own
business, or a financial man such as a banker or stockbroker. He is successful and has a strong sense of
values which have made him the success he is. So, when this card appears, you could have some dealings
with someone like this or you could take on these qualities yourself.
The King of Diamonds often appears when we are ready to start our own business and it promises
great success if we do. It is the highest card in the suit of money and values and as such bestows
everything needed to make a success of some financial or business opportunity. When this card appears,
don't let it go to waste. Find some way to be in business for yourself and go for it.
The Basic Meaning of the Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades means a SECRET of some kind. This card was the emblem for many of the
secret societies of old, being the 'key to the mysteries'. As such, it represents the 'truth that lies behind the
veil of illusion'. So, it has often been the symbol for the study and pursuit of esoteric knowledge and
mystical wisdom.
The Ace of Spades is also one of the traditional cards for death, change and transformation. With
this mystical card in your spread, it is certain that you will go through some sort of death and rebirth, or at
the least, some important and powerful changes.
Another facet of the Ace of Spades is the desire for work. Since all Aces represent new
beginnings, the Ace of Spades can come up when we are preparing to launch a new job or occupation.
The Basic Meaning of the Two of Spades
The Two of Spades means a union or partnership in work or friendship. Since this is a spade, the
partnerships that it may foretell will be ones where you and the other person actually spend time doing
things together, whether it be work or things such as hiking, exercising, camping, biking or other sports.
When the Two of Spades occurs in your reading you will be feeling the need for others in your life
and as such will likely attract someone with whom you can have a pleasant friendship or working
relationship. The key to success with this card is cooperation. Close relationships always require a bit of
give and take for success.
The Basic Meaning of the Three of Spades
The Three of Spades is one of the most creative cards in the deck. It is known as the 'Artist's Card'.
It is so creative that if not channelled properly, it can represent indecision, fear and physical stress.
The Three of Spades can mean literally splitting ourselves in two so that we are working two jobs
at the same time, or are somehow pursuing two lifestyles at the same time. Whether we are successful at
doing this will depend upon the position of the card (Jupiter is best, Saturn is worst) and how well we are
able to direct its energies into creative enterprises.
The Basic Meaning of the Four of Spades
The Four of Spades is a card of satisfaction and stability in both health, work and all affairs in
general. Recovery from illness and any work-related problems can be expected under this influence. It can
mean working hard and steadily, but usually this is a welcome situation, making us feel more secure and
stable in our lives.
Essentially, the Four of Spades is the strongest card of security and foundation in our life. When it
shows up in our reading, we will always achieve this kind of satisfaction.
The Basic Meaning of the Five of Spades
The Five of Spades is one of the strongest indicators of travel or moving your home or your
business. It could indicate a change in your health as well. At its most basic level, the Five of Spades
means a change in your lifestyle, or the things that you do day in and day out. When this card appears,
something will change that affects the way you live or the things that you do each day.
This card usually brings with it a certain amount of restlessness and the desire for changes or
travel. It can result in a dissatisfaction with the way your life has been that motivates you to want new
things, lifestyles, and experiences. This card has a strong Sagittarian influence to it.
The Basic Meaning of the Six of Spades
The Six of Spades is the strongest of the karma cards. When this card is present, you can expect a
smoothing out of affairs in the realms of work and health. However, if you have had bad or negative
habits in these areas or if your lifestyle has included any activities which have intentionally or
inadvertently hurt others, you may have to settle your accounts when this powerful card appears.
Whatever happens when this card appears, see that as a guidepost to make corrections in your path.
The Six of Spades will cause a settling of all affairs and at the same time bring some much needed
peace into your life. If, during that time, you take some time to tune in to your deepest thoughts and
feelings, you may become aware of a special message for you that comes from inside. This message may
lead you to perform a special mission in your life, one that uplifts others in some important way. The Six
of Spades is the card of FATE.
The Basic Meaning of the Seven of Spades
The powerful Seven of Spades will challenge you to rise to higher levels of thinking, speaking and
acting. Its challenges will manifest mainly in the areas of work and health, areas where you are likely to
be holding some negative patterns that need to be changed. If you are willing to take responsibility for
your condition and practice positivity in spite of circumstances, you can realize the powerful spiritual
potential of this card and attain new heights. In its highest form, this is the card of FAITH. It primarily
represents health or physical problems and challenges that require this faith to overcome.
The Basic Meaning of the Eight of Spades
The Eight of Spades is the most powerful card of physical and will power. When this card is
present, you will find yourself experiencing more power over your health and work matters. Success is
indicated by this card, along with the ability to overcome any obstacles that may appear in your way.
Power comes from a focusing of our will, a narrowing down of the areas of our interest. Because of this,
we often lose focus in less important areas while we gather force in one.
The Basic Meaning of the Nine of Spades
The Nine of Spades can be a card of loss and disappointment. However, the true nature of the card
reveals that its presence in your life for any period of time does not have to be a disaster. In actuality, the
Nine of Spades represents making a completion of some importance. Whether this is the end of a certain
occupation, way of life, or way of being with your health and body will depend upon the position of the
card and the circumstances in your life at the time. But rest assured that some important aspect of your life
is coming to an end when this potent card shows up.
This is also one of the death cards and indeed, when this card shows up there will be a death in
your life of some kind. We go through many mini-deaths in the course of our lifetime and just like the
snake shedding its skin, arrive at a new and better place each time we do so. Therefore the Nine of Spades
is not a card to be feared but instead a card to be welcomed. It always has the ability to clear away all the
unwanted and useless debris in our life and put us back on a new course where we are much more
enlivened and satisfied.
The Basic Meaning of the Ten of Spades
The Ten of Spades is one of the best cards for success and satisfaction in your work and in health,
though you may also expect to work very hard when it is present. Overcoming of all obstacles in work
and health are the attributes of this card.
Like the Ten of Wands in the Tarot deck, your work may often seem to be a burden under this
card's influence, or you may become obsessed with all the things that you have to do. This card can be a
'workaholic' kind of influence. However, if you have a list of specific goals and want to achieve them
successfully, there is hardly a better card to have in your reading than this one.
The Basic Meaning of the Jack of Spades
The Jack of Spades is probably the most creative card in the entire deck. It is called the 'Actor
Card', the 'Card of the Thief' and the 'Spiritual Initiate Card'. Just how it manifests in your life will depend
a lot on what are your values and your occupation.
In all cases, it is wise to safeguard your personal property when the Jack of Spades is present. Just
be more careful than usual because there is a strong potential for someone to either rip you off or in some
other way do something dishonest.
Being such a creative force, the Jack of Spades can bring great success in any of the artistic
pursuits. This is an energy that can be used to further one's success in many areas.
Finally, the Jack of Spades can represent an initiation into a higher lifestyle. For example, you
might read a book that inspires you to start a regular plan of exercise. Because that book caused a positive
change in your basic lifestyle, this would be considered to be a spiritual initiation. Of course, there are
more profound spiritual initiations than a new exercise program, but keep in mind that the Jack of Spade's
initiation will have a definite effect on what we do day in and day out.
The Basic Meaning of the Queen of Spades
The Queen of Spades is known as the card of 'self-mastery', the one that sits in the position of
highest accomplishment and recognition in what we call the 'Spiritual Spread'. Whenever this card
appears, we are given a special opportunity to achieve much success in our external life by mastering
ourselves within. This means creating more success by changing our inner thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes
instead of trying to alter our external circumstances.
The Queen of Spades is a hard-working woman card and a good manager as well so we can also
expect success in work and organizational ability whenever she appears in our spreads.
The Basic Meaning of the King of Spades
The King of Spades is the final, and most powerful card in the deck, representing both mastery of
one's environment and one's self. Whenever this card appears you can bet that you will experience good
fortune and results.
It is especially good for legal matters and business but can be applied to any area of life for
success. It is truly the card of 'success in all things' but brings the most blessings to those who are ready
and willing to take responsibility for their life and work and who can take a leadership position in their
work. Remember this is a King we are talking about and every King has a kingdom.
Be prepared to take a leadership role and to live by your own wisdom when this potent card
appears. Success is yours for the taking, but you have to stand up and claim it.
More About the Destiny Card System
The Destiny Card system has been around for ages but was only revealed for the first time to the public in
1894. It is for this reason that few people are aware of its existence and power. It has been hailed by many
as the most accurate form of divination ever discovered, offering a path both to self-understanding and the
understanding of man's relationship with the earth and her cycles. By learning to harmonize oneself with
one's natural cycles one can take full advantage of the many beneficial influences that come and go
throughout life and take great lessons from the challenging cycles.
You can find out a lot more about this system and learn to use it for many purpose by getting a copy of
Destiny Cards and Love Cards by Robert Camp. These two books contain a wealth of information and
teach you how to do yearly and relationship readings. They are available in most major bookstores and
where you got this calendar.
