why leave one lonely, non too healthy Jacaranda in front of no 20? it will look out of place with a street full of other trees which are all the same
We think it is a shame native trees are not on your options, it would be nice to support local bird life, please reconsider
These are nice trees but I would rather Orange, Mandarin or Lemon trees planted in the footpaths so people can eat them

Crepe Myrtle, it would get big and block the footpath. Stonehaven needs to be planted aswell. Also both streets need to be resealed like King street.
So Happy we are getting some trees in our street. Best news ever!
86 Addison road The Crepe Myrtle is not suitable because the nature strip is not wide enough and they will overhang the road and footpath.
y
I would like council where the street is very wide to put large trees with dence branches so birds can nest. Also Arthur street needs a few roundabouts. Cars speed very fast. thank you for the oppertunuty.

Good Idea , Looking forward to the tree planting: Thank You
I am Concerned about the height of these species will reach. It would be good to only have one species in the street so at flowering they will look stunning. A fruit tree would be interesting. ie Pommie granite, persimmon.

we would rather not lose the gum tree on our nature strip as it attracts many native birds and none of the trees listed are native to australia
Why not native trees for the birds
can you also consider planting or putting some form of grass on the nature strip as it has looked terrible since we have lived here. As it is council land, it is your responsibility to put grass @ the residents can maintain it.

We do not want a tree directly outside our house . Would prefer a better choice of tree for this street. Landscaping is a great idea. hoping the trees are maintained correctly.
I would like to keep the tree we have which is a drawcard for parrots
I know we live in a coastal area but the tree selection could be better. I will try to make contact
The council has planted trees in Graydale st a few years ago‐most died and we certainly did not want one planted infront of number 12 as there is not enough room with our trees planted in our garden. this street recieves the full blast of wind and salt spray and not much survives on the verge.
Hopefully this attempt will be more successful than the previous street tree planting attempt about 5 years ago.

Too many trees are being retained, Particularly in Hazel terrace southern end. We believe that the tree at 28 hazel terrace should remain. all others should be removed and replaced with chinese elm. This would then become a nice tree lined street for residents & visitors to the street and school.

Council planted a beautiful flowering gum out the front now it is marked to be replaced. no 33 is also marked to be replaced but a tree opposite at no 40 is to remain. Both are Bay trees ( laurus nobilis) Both are healthy and the leaves are used in many recipes and to discourage weavils from food. Another question why would you choose to plant decidious trees when the sweeper is not used very often and leaves block drains.

I am concerned about the height of the proposed trees, Do we really need 12metre trees and what about the roots of such a height tree.I have had the street tree (Coastal Banksia ( Banksia integrifolia )) for maybe 3 years and it has grown without a lot of water or looking after. Surely this is the type of tree suitable for a suburban block
U1/3 I have been in Hazel Tce for nearly 3 years + the "lawn" curbed area is so bare, so would be lovely.

Please, I do not want a tree outside of my home. I live on a corner block and far too many hoon drivers tear around the corner and over the years, they have damaged the trees outside my home and other homes on corner blocks. I would prefer to see the money spent on making the streets safer by slowing down the traffic. eg. a round about or concrete mounds or islands at T‐intersections. I am Sad that you are removing native trees which provide nests and food for native birds ( eg Rainbow Lorikeets love the nectar in the tree near the front of my unit ) and replacing them with possible non natives.
I love the look of the Jacaranda but concerned about the height it grows.

Not keen on decidious trees, when the leaves fall they block the gutters. if it attracts the birds my 1st choice would be the pistachio, my suggestion for the evergreen tree is the seville orange, these trees are grown in seville spain as a street tree & look Magnificent when the fruit is ripe. The charity organisations could be allowed to pick the fruit and make marmalade for sale.

We have a number of trees on our property already and would prefer not to have one planted. We would prefer a Coastal Banksia if we Don't have a choice.

I think the whole street planting programme is a great idea and would like to be involved in the 'Adopt a tree' programme, I prefer that the Tuckeroo be planted as it is the only Native Offered.
Please remove current tree, ( as on Plan )
