SOLUTION FOR QUICK TRAFFIC
The first application of the Aeromovel System focused on urban traffic was developed for Canoas, a
city in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, in the south of Brazil. It is an important complement
to other means of transportation, as it goes in the north-south x south-north direction. The local train,
which runs in the east-west x west-east direction, is then supplemented by the Aeromovel. As soon
as implemented, it will become the main vehicle of transportation of the city. This system, which was
contracted in 2015, is part of a plan which aims at the reformulation of the city traffic in Canoas.
By the deployment of the technology, there will be a reduction of 30% in commutation time
between the areas of Guajuviras and the Downtown. It is expected to take only nine minutes, while
currently this same journey by bus takes up to 40 minutes at busy times.
