Park Rules Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, including its parking lots, is private property. The following Park Rules are set forth for the purposes of protecting the park Guests, Team Members, animals, and property. Any violation of the Park Rules interferes with the family oriented environment and function of the park. As a visitor to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, you are prohibited from engaging in any of the following activities while on this property: • Display of anything that can be construed as gang colors or emblems. Inappropriately wearing clothing including, but not limited to, low riding garments, display of undergarments, anything construed as a bathing suit or clothing that is not conducive to a family environment. • Failing to obey safety rules, Discovery Kingdom personnel, taking direction from Discovery Kingdom personnel and adhering to any of the Park policies. • Using physical force, obscene or foul language or gestures, racial, religious, or ethnic slurs which are likely to create a disturbance or impinge on the hearing or peace of other Guests or personnel in the park. • Physically or verbally threatening any person, fighting, annoying others through noisy or boisterous activities, following other persons through the park, using sexually explicit language or conduct, or in any other way creating a disturbance which interferes, disrupts, or endangers Guests, personnel, or any of the wildlife in the park. • Running, skating, skateboarding, bicycling, scooters (including electric) or obstructing or interfering with the free flow of pedestrian or vehicular traffic. • Assembling for the purpose of disturbing the peace or committing any unlawful act. • Creating or discarding litter in places other than designated trash receptacles. • Defacing, damaging or destroying any real or personal property located in or constituting part of the park or parking lot, whether belonging to the park or its visitors. This includes but is not limited to writing, spraying, scratching, or otherwise affixing graffiti on such property. • Bringing onto park property any animals, living or dead. Guide and Service animals trained to assist disabled Guests are permitted in the park. Please check in with Guest Relations before entering the park with service animals so that the animal trainers in the park can be notified. • Excessive yelling or screaming, singing, playing of musical instruments, radios or tape players or otherwise communicating in such a manner which creates noise or sufficient volume to impinge on the hearing or peace of other Guests in the park. • Engaging in non-commercial expressive activity without the written permission of the management of the park. • Soliciting money, contributions, donations, distributing advertising or promotional material of any kind of offering samples of items, which are sold or available for sale except with the prior written permission of the management of the park. • Possessing any open bottle, can, or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverage that was not purchased inside the park. • Bringing or possessing glass containers, alcoholic beverages, knives, guns, taser guns, stun guns, pepper spray, clubs, weapons of any type, drugs, explosives, or fireworks in any form is strictly prohibited. • Loitering, delaying, lingering, or remaining idle about the property without any useful business for being present. • Engaging in any unlawful activity or behavior. • Backpacks, bags, and purses may be subject to search at any time by authorized Six Flags Discovery Kingdom personnel. • Entering any animal areas, enclosures, or disrupting a performance is strictly prohibited. • Attempting to approach any animal without the permission of the handler or trainer. • Entering into any restricted area by any means is strictly prohibited. • Resale of any admission ticket, season pass, parking pass, or coupon is strictly prohibited. • Gaining admission to the park with another Guest’s season pass. • Entering or attempting to enter the park or parking lot without paying the admission fee, or possessing a season pass without proper identification. • Line jumping is expressly forbidden and is cause for ejection from the park. Line jumping is defined as: cutting in front of other Guests, leaving the line for any reason and attempting to reenter the line at the same point, saving places for other members of your party. Once you move out of line you must go to the end of the line. • Bringing or possessing any type of laser or other battery operated light device is strictly prohibited. • No outside food or drink will be allowed into the park. • For the comfort of all our Guests, smoking is allowed in designated areas only. Please look for the symbol depicted on the map or ask a park employee for specific designated smoking areas. • Any prohibited items surrendered at the Security check point will not be returned for any reason. • Throwing or placing any object into any animal enclosure or pool is strictly prohibited. - Possession of marijuana and marijuana use is strictly prohibited. Management reserves the right to make judgments, changes or decisions on any of the aforementioned Park rules without notice at anytime. In addition, management may deny access or revoke one’s season pass, or admission without refund for failure to comply with the Park Rules. If you fail to obey Park Rules, or Six Flags Discovery Kingdom personnel, you may be warned or asked to leave the property. If you fail or refuse to follow the warning or request to leave the property you will be escorted from the property. If you fail or refuse to leave the property you will be arrested and prosecuted for Criminal Trespass. Penal Codes pertaining to the park are PC§ 490.1 (Petty Theft under $50) and PC§ 490.6 (Amusement Parks; Detention by Park Employee). Please read below: • PC§ 490.5 Petty theft, where the value of money, labor, real or personal property taken is of a value which does not exceed $50, may be charged as a misdemeanor or an infraction, at the discretion of the prosecutor, provided that the person charged with the offense has no other theft or theft related conviction. • PC§ 490.6 a) A person employed by an amusement park may detain a person for a reasonable time for the purpose of conducting an investigation in a reasonable manner whenever the person employed by the amusement park has probable cause to believe the person to be detained is violating lawful amusement park rules. b) If any person admitted to an amusement park refuses or fails to follow lawful amusement park rules, after being so informed, than an amusement park employee may request that the person either comply or leave the premises. If the person refuses to leave the premises or comply with the lawful park rules, then the person shall be deemed to be intentionally interfering with and obstructing those attempting to carry on a lawful business within the meaning of Section 602.1. c) In any civil action brought by any person resulting from a detention or an arrest by a person employed by an amusement park, it shall be a defense to that action that the amusement park employee detaining or arresting the person had probable cause to believe that the person was not following lawful amusement park rules and that the amusement park employee acted reasonably under all the circumstances. • PC 346.1 a) Any person who, without the written permission of the owner or operator of the property on which an entertainment event is to be held, sells a ticket of admission to the entertainment event, which was obtained for the purposes of resale, at any price which is in excess of the price printed or endorsed upon the ticket, while on the grounds of or in the stadium, arena, theater, or other place where an event for which admission tickets are sold is to be held or being held, is guilty of a misdemeanor. The Following is an excerpt from Chapter 7.94 of the Vallejo Municipal Code. • 7.94.010 Evasion of an admission fee. It is unlawful for any person to enter, or attempt to enter, premises for which an admission fee is charged (such as a theme park, theater, sporting event, dance, etc.) without paying the admission fee, or without authorization of the person in charge of the premises. • 7.94.020 Unsafe or disruptive conduct. A. It shall be unlawful for any person attending a place of amusement open to the public, such as an amusement park, theater, sporting event, dance or other place of entertainment, to do any of the following actions without lawful authority. 1. Line Jumping – stepping, jumping, or pushing into lines ahead of others who are waiting. 2. Running – running with willful and reckless disregard for the safety of others, including but not limited to a. running through substantially congested pedestrian areas; b. running into another person; c. running which causes another to abruptly move out of the way to avoid collision. 3. Throwing or dropping of objects – willful and reckless throwing or dropping of any object, which may injure another person or damage the personal property of another person. • 7.94.030 Violation. Such conduct or actions shall be deemed unsafe and disruptive and considered a threat to the public health and safety. Every person who engages in the herein prohibited actions shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisoned for a term not exceeding six months or by both such fine and imprisonment. 03/05/2016
