the land described in the First Schedule to the Shrine of
Remembrance Site Act '1933, and that the remaining portion
thereof, being the land described in the Fourth (Schedule
to (his Act, should bo permanently reserved, for public
purposes : And whereas by an Order in Council dated the
thirteenth day of October One thousand eight hundred and
seventy-three the land described in the Fifth. Schedule to
this Act was permanently reserved as a site for observatory
purposes : And whereas the land described in the Sixth
Schedule to this Act is occupied for observatory purposes
and includes the land described in the said Fifth. Schedule :
And whereas doubts have arisen as to whether that portion
of the hind described in. the said Sixth Schedule which is
not included in the land described in the said Fifth. Schedule
is unalienated hind, of the Crown or* is part of the hereinbefore
recited land described in the First Schedule to the Shrine
of Remembrance Site Act 1933 : And whereas it is expedient
to remove tin; hereinbefore recited doubts and. to declare
that the said portion is unalienated bind of the drown :
And whereas it is expedient that the hereinbefore recited
Order in Council of the thirteenth day of October One
thousand eight hundred and seventy-three relating to the
land described in the said Fifth Schedule should be revoked
and that the land described in the said Sixth Schedule
should be temporarily reserved for observatory purposes:
Be it therefore enacted bv the King's Most Excellent Majesty
by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council
and the Legislative Assembly of Victoria in this present
Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as
follows (that is to say) :—

parish of Melbourne South, being part of the Government House Jtescrve :
I'ommencing at a point on the southern boundary of that reserve, hearing
X. 62° 3' E. eight chains sixty-seven links from the north angle of the
site for observatory purposes permanently reserved by Order of 23rd
April, 1806, the said point being the southern extremity of the major
axis of an ellipse, whose minor axis bears IN. (>2J 3' JO. seven chains, the
said major axis bearing N. 27° 57' W. eight chains ; bounded thence by an
;irc of the said ellipse, bearing north-westerly to a, point thereon, bearing
8.84° 42' W. from the centre of that ellipse; thence by lines bearing
