CLASS RANK/GPA
Class rank is no longer reported. The GPA is calculated by dividing the number of quality points by the number of significant
credits. Units earned through pass/fail courses are not considered significant credits. AP and Honors classes are weighted; GPA
is calculated only at the end of each academic year. Saint Xavier High School has adopted a new grading scale that honors
the rigor and demand of our academics. The new grading scale went into effect with school year 2013-2014; however, it is not
retroactive and therefore does not affect previous grades.
