Study Guide: Night by Elie Wiesel
Study your packet! You are responsible for anything that is in the
packet.
Some points to focus on:
*Front page of packet: know which side major countries were on during
the war. (Allied forces vs. Axis powers)
*Ch.1 Summary: know where Elie and his family were from, know if
they had any chances to escape, know who was in Elie’s family, know
who Moshe is and what happened to him……
*Chapters 2-5: know main story events, how old Elie was and how old
he was told to say he was, Madame Schacter, Dr. Mengele, the hanging
of the Pipel in front of Elie, the dentist and Elie’s crown, the flash
forward with the French girl, etc.
*Selection: be able to identify and describe advice to avoid selection.

*Ch. 6: Study the information in the summary you filled out.
End book questions: Study the answers to the questions.
People to Know: Know who all of the people were and what happened
to them.
Literary Terms: page 16 and 17 of your packet, be able to identify and
describe any of these examples.
