DRIVE SAFELY THIS WINTER




Call 511 or visit www.511mn.org before leaving on your trip
to get current road conditions.
Turn on your headlights and wear your seat belt.
Turn off your cruise control.
Slow down; allow at least five car lengths between your
vehicle and a plow.
Stay behind the snowplow. The road behind a snowplow is
safer to drive on.
Watch for snowplows that turn or exit frequently, and often
with little warning.
SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE Please remember all
snow, ice, dirt and rubbish must be removed from sidewalks
adjacent to your property within 24 hours after the same
has been deposited. Properties not in conformance after
this time period are subject to removal of those items by
the City, and the cost of removal assessed to the property
owner(s).
PARKING RESTRICTIONS Remember that parking is
prohibited on City streets from November 1st to April 1st
between the hours of 2 AM and 7 AM. In the event that
you have visitors and need to leave a car parked on the
street, please contact the Police Department at
320.363.8250. Temporary permission may be granted unless a snow event occurs.
FIRE HYDRANTS We appreciate your help in keeping
the hydrant in your neighborhood free of snow to help
provide quick identification and access in the event of a
fire.
MAILBOXES Residents are responsible for removing snow
around their mailbox to avoid delay in mail delivery.
