If you miss the first week and we still have room, you can sign up for the program at a prorated price. When is my balance due? Your balance is due at any point before the season begins, full payment reserves your spot in the program. If you would like to break it up into 2 x $250 payments, you can send 2 checks in the mail, one of which will be deposited upon receipt and the second will be deposited 10 weeks in. We have a flexible vacation policy in which you can miss 2 weeks and we will tack these weeks onto the end of the season. Let us know by Monday of that week so that we don't pick extra. You can also have a friend pick up for you. If you know ahead you are going to be out of town for a month, you can deduct $100 from your total. We want you to get your vegetables! Every family or individual has different eating habits, making this a difficult question to answer. A share roughly provides a family of 4 their vegetable sides for several meals each week. For a couple, the box roughly provides several entrees or a week’s worth of sides. See our sample shares to get an idea of how your family might use these items. How do you decide your prices to determine box value? We use the same prices for the CSA that we use at the Saturday Farmers Market. Is your CSA program for me? A CSA subscription will require that you prepare different seasonal vegetables all season long. Those that enjoy the CSA share most are likely to get creative in the kitchen and adapt to what’s available. One of the biggest complaints of the CSA program in general, is not being able to choose what comes in every week, especially when there are items that are not particularly cared for. You have to have be open-minded and committed to eat seasonally for those 20 weeks. Our Farmers Market Share program offers a very flexible alternative if this is something you are interested in, refer to our Farmers Market Share page. Am I expected to participate in the farm in any way? We do not have a work requirement for our CSA. We ask that you be considerate of others at our CSA pickups, return empty boxes, and give us feedback on our year end survey. We do however welcome volunteers – please contact us if you are interested in volunteering. Can I visit the farm? Yes! As CSA members, you are welcome to walk around while we are working, contact us beforehand to make sure we’re there. Everyone is welcome to our open house on Sunday April 30 between 2-5 to look around and see what is growing. Or beforehand – just schedule a visit with a phone call to Natalie – 336-837-9950 What do I do with my box? We ask that you come to the pickup with last week’s empty box, or bring a bag to transfer your vegetables from the box to your bag and not worry about carting it around. Can I get a home delivery? Depending on the interest shown and your location, this is a possibility. Get in touch with Natalie (number listed above). Interested in signing up?
