Carson City / Storey County Fabulous Fabric and Rummage Sale 4-H Fundraiser Carson City/Storey County 4-H Council invites everyone to contribute and participate in the 2016 Fabulous Fabric and Rummage Sale 4-H Fundraiser which takes place February 6, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and February 7, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Fuji Park Exhibit Hall. Drop off dates for donations are January 16 and 23 in the Fuji Exhibit Hall parking lot 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday February 5 at Fuji Exhibit Hall 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Items can also be dropped off at the Carson City Cooperative Extension Office, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 15, Carson City, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The sale raises funds for Carson City / Storey County 4-H Council scholarships. Each year 4-H high school seniors are selected to receive scholarships for any certified educational pursuit following graduation. All Carson / Storey seniors who wish to apply for the scholarship are required to assist with this fundraiser. Monday, January 4, 2016 10 a.m. Lindsay joins our office by way of the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension as an Extension Educator in Saunders County, NE. We are pleased to welcome her and look forward to working with her on youth development, community engagement and outreach, agriculture and agricultural business, food safety, plants and soil and environmental programming. Additionally, Lindsay has experience in crisis communications and the national Radon program. She will be working in Carson City to help develop, deliver and evaluate effective research-based educational programs, ensuring programs will result in positive and measurable impacts. We will be serving beverages and snacks throughout the day on January 4, if you can’t attend the 10 o’clock coffee hour! Please stop in and say hello to Lindsay!
