To help foreign students towards success, engineering institutes can ask them to follow the programmes of the integration packages managed by the “n+i” Network. All these in partnership with The “n+i” Integration Packages Packages are included in the engineering training packages are included in the engineering training and so do not require any extra time. The Package for Cultural Integration PIC This package provides full assistance during all your studies in France . As soon as you arrive in France, the “n+i” Network offers a comprehensive programme including a personalised welcome in Paris airport, insurance from the minute you arrive in France, a personal pack comprising: phone cards, etc., assistance with administrative procedures (residency permit, bank account opening, etc.), accommodation reservation for the first months of your stay and transfers to facilitate travel between the different locations of study. } This is much more than a welcome package The network “n+i” helped me a lot to prepare my studies in France. ~ Miss Dwiajeng ANDAYANI Indonesia The Package for Linguistic Integration PIL The Package for Linguistic Integration enables beginners (or not) in French language to Labelled centres get ready before the programme starts. This summer intensive French language course is taught in France from mid-July to mid-September in specialised organisations, with the label Qualité français langue étrangère. During this training, students will be accommodated in French families in order to boost their knowledge of French culture and language. Students having a very good level in French can be exempted (PIL and/or PIM) subject to conditions. } The Pre-Master Package PreM The one-year Pre-Master Package is a mix in one package of the three packages PIC, PIL and PIM. In this case it precedes the beginning of the Master studies in France. This training cannot be credited in the engineering curriculum degree and does not give any ECTS credit. Yet PreM is highly recommended to students who have very little knowledge of French language and wish to benefit from a highquality scientific and technological preparation. Réseau “n+i” 79 avenue Denfert-Rochereau – 75014 Paris – France E-mail: [email protected] – Web: www.nplusi.com PIL was great. I improved my French quite a lot not only due to the course of French but also to the French family I stayed with. ~ Miss Milagros ZANABRIA Peru in partnership with The “n+i” Integration Packages The Package for Methodological Integration PIM The Package for Methodological Integration is a period of cultural and language adjustment which allows students to gain confidence and also learn about French teaching methods. These programmes are fully integrated into the engineering training and are included in the curriculum. For students at M1 level only the Full PIM Students with a low level in French and no special knowledge about France and its academic system will benefit from a Full Package for Methodological Integration organised by a conjunction of several institutes. It is a special tailor-made period for international students. International students study engineering during this special period for integration but not yet alongside French students. Seminar-size courses are taught in French at a suitable pace for non-French speakers. During the period of methodological integration, students get personal help from their tutors: advice and guidance, assistance with housing, and help with administrative procedures, regulatory requirements (registration, bank accounts, visas, residency permits, etc.) and academic assistance. } I started with one zero level and I almost reached a B2 level when I left the PIM school. I must say that this is mainly thanks to the very good PIL and PIM organisation ran by the network “n+i”. ~ Mr Rohit BHUTANI India For students at M1 or M2 level the Local PIM Students who have a medium level of French could benefit from a Local Package for Methodological Integration i.e. they will join directly their engineering institute alongside French students. At the same time, such students will benefit from a special assistance and personal tutoring. In addition to regular classes this package offers students a personal welcome in his/her institute, a personal tutoring from professors and French students during the first period of courses. This is a good support for personal work. It also enables the discovery of the institute life and helps gaining a better understanding. Methodology packages are included in the course and require no extra time } I followed courses that are simpler than courses at the regular school in order to get better adapted to the French environment first. ~ Miss Jingjing LI China Year 1 Year 2 Jul/Aug/Sept Sept/Feb Feb/June Jul/Aug Sept/Mar Apr/Sept Packages Courses Courses Internship Courses Courses PIC + PIL M1a or PIM M1b M2a M2b Students exempted of PIM will follow a regular M1a programme instead Réseau “n+i” 79 avenue Denfert-Rochereau – 75014 Paris – France E-mail: [email protected] – Web: www.nplusi.com
